How to Choose the Right Construction

At 1 inch the 1SN rating drops to 8.8 MPa, so braided single-wire hose is only appropriate for return lines. Most 1 inch applications are 4SH (38 MPa) or 4SP (28 MPa). If the machine is rated at 420 bar, 4SH is the minimum; check that the flange rating matches the hose, since a code 61 flange is only good for 300 bar.

Fittings for 1 Inch Hose

1 inch hose is almost always flanged on mobile equipment — SAE code 62 (6000 psi) or code 61, in split-flange or one-piece design. Threaded alternatives are BSPP 1", JIC 1-5/16-12 and ORFS 1-7/16-12, but above 300 bar flanges are strongly preferred.
