PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
2SN Steel Wire Braided Hydraulic Hose — 415 bar at 5 mm, 70 bar at 63 mm
The YIBO 2SN is a two-wire-braid hydraulic hose built to EN 853 2SN: an oil-resistant synthetic rubber tube, two layers of high-tensile steel wire braid, and a weather-resistant cover. It carries hydraulic oil, glycol, lubricating oil and emulsions.
The range runs 12 codes from 5 mm to 63 mm bore, 3/16 inch to 2-1/2 inch. Working pressure is 41.5 MPa (415 bar) on the smallest code and 7 MPa (70 bar) on the largest, with a 4.0x burst margin on every row. Mass runs 0.33-3.47 kg/m.
Every figure on this page comes from the specification table below: bore tolerance, wall, working and burst pressure in MPa and psi, minimum bend radius and mass. Nothing is a catalogue average.

Application & Selection
Suitable for conveying hydraulic fluids such as glycol, hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, and emulsions. HIGH PRESSURE STEEL WIRE BRAIDED HOSE covers 4.6–65.1 mm across 12 published codes.
This hose carries a published 415 bar working, 1,660 bar minimum burst rating. Mass runs 0.33–3.47 kg/m across the 12 codes. Assemblies of this hose are crimped and pressure-tested in-house, with metric / BSP / JIC / ORFS ends. MOQ for this hose is 100 m, which covers any of its 12 codes including 2SN-03-05.
WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons This 2SN Range Reads Cleanly on the Table
A two-wire-braid family spans 415 bar down to 70 bar, so the row you buy decides the specification. These are the six numbers buyers check first.
Pressure Falls With Bore
The 5 mm code is rated 41.5 MPa (415 bar) with 166 MPa (1,660 bar) minimum burst. At 63 mm the same family is rated 7 MPa (70 bar). Both figures are published, and the row you buy governs the batch.
Twelve Codes, One Braiding Line
5 mm to 63 mm bore, 3/16 inch to 2-1/2 inch, braided on one line, so a mixed order leaves as a single lot under one test record instead of three supplier batches.
Bend Radius Printed Per Code
90 mm at the 5 mm code, 130 mm at 3/8 inch, 760 mm at 63 mm. Check the routing against the row before the coil is cut, not after the machine is stripped.
Two Temperature Windows
-40 to +100 ℃ on oil, and 0 to +70 ℃ on water-based media. The narrower window is stated rather than buried, because emulsion duty is where tubes fail early.
Weight Known Before Freight
0.33 kg/m at the 5 mm code to 3.47 kg/m at 63 mm, so a 100 m coil is a known lift and a known freight line before the booking is made.
Crimped and Proof-Tested
Assemblies are crimped on CNC machines and proof-tested above rated working pressure, then marked with batch and test date so a claim can be traced to a coil.
CONSTRUCTION
Two Wire Layers, One Braid Angle
Inner Tube
Oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR), bored to the table: 4.6-5.4 mm ID at the 5 mm code, 63.1-65.1 mm at the 63 mm code. The tolerance is printed rather than implied.
Reinforcement
Two layers of high-tensile steel wire braid at the EN 853 lay angle. It is the same construction that holds 41.5 MPa at 5 mm and 7 MPa at 63 mm, which is why the pressure column has to be read per row.
Cover
Weather- and abrasion-resistant synthetic rubber, wall sized so the outside diameter runs 10.6 mm at the 5 mm code to 81.8 mm at 63 mm.
APPLICATIONS
Where the 2SN Is the Right Hose
Excavator Return & Pilot Lines
Drain, return, pilot and cooling circuits where pressure stays inside the per-code rating. Main boom rams move to 4SP.
Tractor & Implement Hydraulics
Steering, lift and tipping lines. The 1 inch code carries 16.5 MPa (165 bar) with a 300 mm bend radius.
Forklift Mast & Tilt
3/8 inch at 33 MPa (330 bar) covers mast tilt and lift on 2 to 3 tonne trucks, and its 130 mm bend radius is what lets it run inside the mast channel.
Machine Tools & Presses
Clamp, punch and return lines where the 130 mm bend at 3/8 inch is the figure that makes a tight enclosure layout possible.
Mining Auxiliary Circuits
Water flush, dust suppression and return lines on drill rigs, sized up to the 2 inch code at 8 MPa (80 bar).
MRO & Mixed Fleets
Twelve codes from 5 mm to 63 mm let a workshop cover several machine models without stocking three hose brands.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Buyers Ask For on a 2SN Line
Four of the six pressures below come from the same shift: circuits are being specified by bore and pressure together, not by model name alone.
① Pressure Quoted Per Code per-code pressure
Trend: RFQs increasingly put bore and pressure on the same line, because a 2SN family runs 415 bar at 5 mm and 70 bar at 63 mm.
Dohose: Working and burst pressure are printed per row in MPa and psi, so nobody has to interpolate between sizes.
② Tighter Routing compact hose
Trend: Machine envelopes shrink each model year, and bend radius becomes the constraint before pressure does.
Dohose: Minimum bend radius is published from 90 mm at the 5 mm code to 760 mm at 63 mm, so the layout can be checked on paper.
③ Impulse Count as a Spec impulse rated hose
Trend: Pulse-heavy circuits are specified by cycle count rather than by working pressure alone.
Dohose: Braid spacing is held across all 12 codes, so impulse life does not drift between the 5 mm and the 63 mm ends of the range.
④ Water-Based Fluids water glycol hose
Trend: HFC and emulsion fluids are moving from steel mills into general plant hydraulics.
Dohose: The 0 to +70 ℃ window for water-based media is stated separately from the -40 to +100 ℃ oil window, instead of being averaged away.
⑤ Cleanliness at the Port clean hydraulic hose
Trend: Proportional and servo valves now specify cleanliness at the port, not at the reservoir.
Dohose: Bores are blown through after cutting and every end is capped before packing.
⑥ Batch Traceability traceable hose
Trend: OEM warranty terms ask which batch a failed line came from, not only whether it was in spec.
Dohose: Batch and test date are printed on the hose and recorded against the order.

FAQ
2SN Hose — Ten Questions Buyers Actually Ask
Is 2SN hose the same as SAE 100R2AT?
The two designations describe the same architecture: synthetic rubber tube, two layers of steel wire braid, rubber cover. What they do not share is one pressure column. In our table the 3/8 inch (10 mm) code is rated 33 MPa (330 bar) working with 132 MPa minimum burst, while the 5 mm code carries 41.5 MPa. Quote the row you are buying, not the label on the drawing.
2SN or 4SP for a 350 bar circuit?
Read the bore first. 2SN peaks at 41.5 MPa (415 bar) on the 5 mm code, holds 40.0 MPa (400 bar) at 6.3 mm and exactly 35.0 MPa (350 bar) at 8 mm, then falls to 33.0 MPa (330 bar) at 10 mm and 27.5 MPa (275 bar) at 12.5 mm. A 350 bar circuit therefore rules 2SN out at 10 mm and above. That is where 4SP starts: its 10 mm code is rated 44.5 MPa (445 bar) with 180 MPa burst. At 250 bar, 2SN at 12.5 mm still has headroom.
What is the working pressure of 1/2 inch 2SN hose?
At 1/2 inch, the 12.5 mm bore code, the table gives 27.5 MPa working (3,989 psi) and 110 MPa (1,100 bar) minimum burst. The inside diameter is held between 12.3 and 13.5 mm, the minimum bend radius on that row is 180 mm, and the body weighs 0.73 kg/m.
What bore of 2SN do I need for 60 l/min?
60 l/min through a 25 mm bore runs at roughly 2 m/s, which is comfortable for a return line. The same flow squeezed into 12.5 mm runs near 8 m/s: inside the hose, but hard on pressure drop and on the tube. The 1 inch code is rated 16.5 MPa (165 bar) with a 300 mm bend radius, so check the circuit pressure before choosing the larger bore.
Can 2SN be used on an excavator boom?
On the return, drain, pilot and cooling lines, yes. On the boom and arm rams, usually not: those circuits sit near 35 MPa and pulse hard, while 2SN at 3/4 inch (19 mm) is rated 21.5 MPa (215 bar). The main rams get 4SP. On that 3/4 inch code the 240 mm bend radius is the number that decides whether the hose fits the routing at all.
Does 2SN handle water-glycol and emulsion fluids?
Yes, and the table is explicit about the limit: the working window is -40 to +100 ℃ on oil, but 0 to +70 ℃ on water-based media. HFC and emulsion duty therefore runs a narrower window than the headline temperature suggests. State the fluid and its temperature and the compound is confirmed before the coil is cut.
Why does 2SN keep failing right behind the crimp?
Two causes dominate. The first is crimp diameter: an under-crimp leaks, an over-crimp crushes the braid and the wire breaks a few hundred cycles later, and both look fine from outside. The second is routing, because a 3/8 inch line bent tighter than its 130 mm minimum works the braid at the ferrule on every pressure cycle. Measure the real bend on the machine before blaming the hose.
Why is the cover cracking after a year outdoors?
Covers crack on UV and ozone long before the tube fails, and spare coils stored outside are the usual victims. Our cover is a weather- and abrasion-resistant compound, but the practical limits are the ones in the table: continuous service to +100 ℃, and 0 to +70 ℃ where water-based fluid is used. Coils kept under cover age on the braid life, not on the cover.
Who manufactures 2SN hose in bulk, and what is the minimum order?
YIBO, in Luohe, Henan, braids the full range on one line: 12 codes from 5 mm to 63 mm bore, 3/16 inch to 2-1/2 inch, so a mixed order ships as a single lot. The minimum follows the code rather than the order: standard sizes come off stock coils, the 63 mm code is made to order. Send the code list and we confirm which lines are ex-stock.
How much is 2SN hose per metre in a 100 m order?
Price tracks bore, because the body does: 0.33 kg/m at the 5 mm code, 0.73 kg/m at 1/2 inch, 1.44 kg/m at 1 inch, 3.47 kg/m at 63 mm. A 100 m order of 1/2 inch is one 73 kg coil, which is what a freight quote needs to know. Send bore, ends and destination and a firm price comes back the same working day.
