PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
EN 853 1SN Single-Braid Hose — 250 bar at 5 mm, 40 bar at 2 inch
The YIBO 1SN is a single-wire-braid hydraulic hose: an oil-resistant synthetic rubber tube, one layer of high-tensile steel wire braid, and an oil- and weather-resistant cover.
The range is 11 codes from 5 mm to 51 mm bore, 3/16 inch to 2 inch. Working pressure runs 25.0 MPa (250 bar) at the smallest code down to 4.0 MPa (40 bar) at 2 inch, with a 4.0x burst margin on every row. Mass is 0.19 to 1.96 kg/m.
One braid instead of two is the whole difference from a 2SN: at 3/8 inch this hose is rated 18.0 MPa where 2SN is rated 33.0 MPa, and it weighs 0.34 kg/m against 0.60 kg/m. That trade is why it belongs on return, pilot and light-duty lines rather than on rams.

WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons to Choose One Braid on Purpose
A single-braid hose is not a cheap version of a two-braid one. It is the right hose wherever the pressure column allows it, and it saves weight and money everywhere else.
250 bar at the Smallest Code
The 5 mm code is rated 25.0 MPa (250 bar) with 100 MPa (1,000 bar) minimum burst. At 2 inch the same family is rated 4.0 MPa (40 bar), so the class is the row you buy.
Half the Weight of 2SN
At 3/8 inch this body is 0.34 kg/m against 0.60 kg/m for the two-braid version, on the same 10 mm bore and at the same 130 mm bend radius. On a machine with forty hose runs that difference is felt at every service.
Same Bend Radius as 2SN
The bend radius column is identical to 2SN row for row: 90 mm at 5 mm, 130 mm at 3/8 inch, 240 mm at 3/4 inch, 630 mm at 2 inch. The only difference in eleven codes is the 8 mm row, 110 mm against 115 mm. A routing drawn for 2SN accepts this hose unchanged.
Eleven Codes, One Line
5 mm to 51 mm, 3/16 inch to 2 inch, braided on one machine, so a mixed order leaves as one lot on one test record.
Two Temperature Windows
-40 to +100 ℃ on oil, and 0 to +70 ℃ where water-based fluid is used. The narrower window is stated rather than averaged into one figure.
Cut, Crimped, Tested
Order metres or finished assemblies. Ends are crimped and proof-tested in-house, then marked with batch and test date.
CONSTRUCTION
One Braid, Three Layers
Inner Tube
Oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR), bored to the table: 4.6 to 5.4 mm at the 5 mm code, 50.4 to 52.0 mm at the 51 mm code.
Reinforcement
A single layer of high-tensile steel wire braid. It is the layer that separates 18.0 MPa here from 33.0 MPa on a 2SN of the same 10 mm bore.
Cover
Oil- and weather-resistant synthetic rubber, sized so the outside diameter runs 12.5 mm at the 5 mm code to 65.5 mm at 51 mm.
APPLICATIONS
Where 1SN Is the Right Hose
Return & Drain Lines
Return and drain circuits, where the 3/4 inch code at 10.5 MPa (105 bar) matches what a return filter sees rather than what a ram needs.
Pilot & Control Circuits
1/4 inch at 22.5 MPa (225 bar) with a 100 mm bend radius fits inside a control block without a loop.
Tractor & Trailer Hydraulics
Lift, steer and tipping lines on implements where 1/2 inch at 16.0 MPa (160 bar) is the working figure.
Machine Tool Clamp & Lube
3/8 inch at 18.0 MPa (180 bar) covers clamp and lubrication circuits, and 0.34 kg/m keeps the run light.
Workshop Reels & Air-Oil Units
Short whip lines and reel hose where a thin wall is an advantage in the reel drum.
MRO & Fleet Replacement
Eleven codes from 5 mm to 51 mm replace most light hydraulic lines without changing brand.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
Where Single-Braid Demand Comes From
Most 1SN enquiries start with a weight or a bend problem, not with a pressure problem.
① Weight on the Machine lightweight hose
Trend: Compact machines care about the mass hanging on a hose run as much as about pressure.
Dohose: One braid puts 3/8 inch at 0.34 kg/m against 0.60 kg/m for the two-braid body on the same bore.
② Tighter Routing compact hose
Trend: Return and pilot lines are the first to run out of room when a frame is redesigned.
Dohose: Bend radius is published from 90 mm at 5 mm bore and matches 2SN row for row, so an existing layout takes a 1SN without re-routing.
③ Pressure Read Per Row per code pressure
Trend: Buyers now send bore with pressure, because a single-braid family runs 250 bar down to 40 bar.
Dohose: Working and burst pressure are printed per row in MPa and psi, so no one interpolates.
④ Water-Based Fluids water glycol hose
Trend: HFC and emulsion fluids keep moving into general plant hydraulics.
Dohose: The 0 to +70 ℃ window for water-based media is stated next to the -40 to +100 ℃ oil window.
⑤ Cleanliness at the Port clean hydraulic hose
Trend: Proportional valves downstream of a return line still specify cleanliness at the port.
Dohose: Bores are blown through and capped before the assembly is crimped.
⑥ Batch Records traceable hose
Trend: Warranty claims ask which coil a failed line came from.
Dohose: Batch and test date are marked on the body and recorded against the order.

FAQ
EN 853 1SN — Ten Selection Questions
1SN vs 2SN — which one for a 180 bar line?
At 3/8 inch 1SN is rated exactly 18.0 MPa (180 bar) with 72 MPa minimum burst, and 2SN on the same 10 mm bore is rated 33.0 MPa (330 bar). So a 180 bar line sits right on the 1SN limit with no margin at all, which is why we quote 2SN for anything that pulses. Below 150 bar, 1SN is the lighter and cheaper answer.
Is 1SN hose the same as SAE 100R1AT?
Same architecture: synthetic rubber tube, one layer of steel wire braid, rubber cover. The two are quoted against the same body here, but the pressure column differs by bore, so read the row. At 3/4 inch this body is 10.5 MPa (105 bar), and at 2 inch it is 4.0 MPa (40 bar).
What is the working pressure of 1/2 inch 1SN?
The 12.5 mm code is rated 16.0 MPa working (160 bar, 2,321 psi) with 64 MPa (640 bar) minimum burst. Minimum bend radius is 180 mm, mass is 0.42 kg/m, and the inside diameter is held between 12.3 and 13.5 mm.
What bore of 1SN for a 40 l/min return line?
40 l/min through a 3/4 inch (19 mm) bore runs at about 2.4 m/s, which is a comfortable return velocity. The same flow through 1/2 inch runs near 5.4 m/s, and the pressure drop starts to show at that speed. The 3/4 inch row is rated 10.5 MPa (105 bar) with a 240 mm bend radius and weighs 0.66 kg/m.
Can 1SN be used on an excavator pilot line?
Yes. Pilot and control circuits run at low flow and modest pressure, and the 1/4 inch code at 22.5 MPa (225 bar) with a 100 mm bend radius fits inside a control block. It is the boom and arm rams that need a spiral body, not the pilot line.
Does 1SN handle water-glycol fluid?
Yes, inside a narrower temperature window: -40 to +100 ℃ on oil but 0 to +70 ℃ on water-based media. On HFC the 70 ℃ ceiling usually arrives before the pressure limit does, even at 3/8 inch where the rating is 18.0 MPa.
Why did a 3/4 inch 1SN burst on a 200 bar line?
Because at 3/4 inch this hose is rated 10.5 MPa (105 bar) with 42 MPa burst, and 200 bar is roughly double its working rating. A single-braid family loses pressure class quickly as bore grows: 250 bar at 5 mm, 105 bar at 19 mm, 40 bar at 51 mm. Match the row before the fitting.
Why does 1SN fail at the crimp more often than 2SN?
The wall is thinner, so there is less material between the ferrule and the wire: at 3/8 inch the body is 0.34 kg/m and carries 18.0 MPa, against 0.60 kg/m for the two-braid body. An over-crimp crushes the single braid outright, and an under-crimp lets the tube extrude past it. Both look acceptable from outside. That is why we crimp to a recorded diameter for each body rather than to a chart, and proof-test the result.
Which Chinese manufacturer supplies 1SN hose in bulk?
YIBO, in Luohe, Henan, braids 11 codes from 5 mm to 51 mm bore, 3/16 inch to 2 inch, on one line, so a mixed order ships as a single lot. Coils and crimped assemblies leave from the same plant, loading through Qingdao or Shanghai.
What does 1SN cost per metre at 2 inch in 100 m?
Price tracks the body: 0.34 kg/m at 3/8 inch, 0.66 kg/m at 3/4 inch, 1.96 kg/m at 2 inch, so 100 m of 2 inch is a 196 kg coil. Send bore, length, ends and destination and a firm figure comes back the same working day.
