Why Data Centers Need a Dedicated Liquid Cooling Hose
As server power density climbs, air cooling alone can no longer carry the heat away from modern racks.
Direct-to-chip and rear-door heat exchangers move that heat into a liquid loop — and that loop is only as
reliable as the hose carrying the coolant. A single leaking joint inside a rack can take down a whole cabinet,
so the hose is no longer a commodity component. It is part of the thermal safety system.
YIBO manufactures liquid cooling hose specifically for this job: server and rack cooling loops, CDU connections
and manifold runs where space is tight and downtime is expensive. It is built with a low bend radius so it can
be routed through compact equipment spaces without kinking, and it is engineered to resist leakage at the
connection points that see the most mechanical stress.
Key Features of YIBO Liquid Cooling Hose
Low Bend Radius for Tight Rack Spaces
Inside a rack there is rarely a straight run. Hose has to turn sharply around power supplies, cable trays and
chassis edges. Our construction keeps a low bend radius, which means the hose can follow those tight paths
without collapsing or kinking — a kinked hose restricts flow, raises pump load and creates a hot spot exactly
where you cannot afford one.
Leak-Resistant Construction
Leakage is the single biggest risk in a liquid cooling loop. Our hose is built to resist leakage at the joint
and along the body, with a tube and cover compound selected for repeated thermal cycling. Combined with
properly crimped fittings, this gives a connection that holds through the temperature swings a data center
sees between idle and full load.
Flame Retardant
Electrical equipment and coolant in the same enclosure is a combination that demands care. Our liquid cooling
hose uses a flame-retardant cover compound, so that in the event of a fault the hose does not add fuel to the
situation. This matters for both equipment protection and for meeting the fire-safety requirements of the
facility itself.
Coolant Compatibility
The inner tube is made from black EPDM synthetic rubber, a compound widely used in cooling circuits because
it resists the degradation that many elastomers suffer when exposed to water-glycol coolant over long periods.
The reinforcement layer — one or two layers of synthetic fiber braid — gives the hose the pressure capability
the loop requires while keeping it flexible enough to route by hand.
Weather, Abrasion and Ozone Resistant Cover
The black EPDM cover is compounded for weather, abrasion and ozone resistance. In practice this means the hose
keeps working in plant rooms, containerized data centers and outdoor cooling skids where UV, dust and
mechanical rubbing are all present.
Where YIBO Liquid Cooling Hose Is Used
- Server and rack cooling loops — direct-to-chip cold plates and rear-door heat exchangers
- CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit) connections — supply and return lines between CDU and rack manifold
- Manifold and rack-level distribution — short, tight-radius runs inside the cabinet
- Energy storage and industrial cooling systems — where the same coolant and reliability requirements apply
- Containerized and edge data centers — where hose has to tolerate weather and vibration

Exact pressure rating, temperature range and coolant compatibility depend on the specific construction and
fitting combination. Tell us your loop parameters and we will confirm the correct specification before you order.
How to Choose the Right Liquid Cooling Hose
Four things determine whether a hose is right for a given loop:
- Inside diameter and flow rate. Undersized hose raises pressure drop and pump energy; oversized hose wastes space you do not have.
- Bend radius versus your routing. Measure the tightest turn in the actual rack, then confirm the hose can make that turn without kinking.
- Coolant chemistry. Water-glycol ratios and additives vary — confirm the tube compound matches what you are running.
- Fitting and crimp method. A good hose with a poor crimp still leaks. We supply hose and crimped assemblies together so the joint is controlled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the hose be routed around tight corners inside a rack?
Yes — a low bend radius is one of the reasons this hose exists. It is designed for the compact equipment spaces
found in server and rack cooling, where a straight run is rarely available.
Do you supply complete assemblies, or hose only?
Both. Many customers buy crimped assemblies so that the hose-to-fitting joint is made under controlled
conditions rather than on site. If you prefer to crimp locally, we can supply hose by the metre.
Can you produce to our drawing or sample?
Yes. Diameter, length, fitting type and assembly layout can all be made to your drawing or a physical sample.
Send us the specification and we will confirm feasibility and lead time.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ starts from 100 m. For assembly work it depends on the fitting type and configuration — ask us and we will
give you a straight answer rather than a generic one.
Why Choose YIBO
