PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Oilfield Well Servicing Hose — 420 bar in a 10 mm Bore

A workover rig is a small machine working in a small space. The wellhead, the BOP stack and the tongs leave very little room for hose, and the circuits still run at pressures that would be high on a much larger machine.

Our R15 range answers that combination: four codes from 10 to 19 mm inside diameter, every one rated 42.0 MPa (420 bar) with 168.0 MPa minimum burst. The smallest code turns in a 150 mm arc, which is what a wellhead area actually allows.

Pressure does not fall with bore on this range, so the choice is made on flow and on space. Weight runs 0.76 to 1.56 kg/m and the arc from 150 mm to 265 mm; on a rig floor both figures matter more than the bore label.

Application & Selection

Oilfield hose: ultra-high pressure spiral hose for well servicing, hydraulic oil delivery lines and high-pressure washdown hose. Hose for Oilfield Well Servicing is published in 4 codes spanning 10–19 mm bore.

Hose for Oilfield Well Servicing carries a published 420 bar working, 1,680 bar minimum burst rating. Plan the supports around 0.76–1.56 kg/m per metre. Hose for Oilfield Well Servicing assemblies ship crimped and pressure-tested, with metric / BSP / JIC / ORFS ends. Hose for Oilfield Well Servicing runs roughly 20 days from confirmation over its 4 codes, with OEM marking and packing.

WHY THIS HOSE

Why Small Bore at High Pressure

On a workover rig the constraint is the wellhead area, so pressure has to be delivered through the smallest bore that will carry the flow.

01

420 bar at 3/8 Inch

The 10 mm code carries 42.0 MPa with 168.0 MPa burst in a 150 mm arc. That combination is the point of the range.

02

Flat 420 bar Across Four

10 mm through 19 mm all carry 42.0 MPa. Bore changes flow and arc, not the pressure class.

03

150 mm in the Wellhead

The tightest arc on the table, at the smallest bore. It is the figure that decides whether a line can be routed at all.

04

Weight Stays Under 1.6 kg/m

0.76 kg/m at 3/8 inch to 1.56 kg/m at 3/4 inch. A rig floor is worked by hand, so mass is a handling question.

05

168.0 MPa Burst

A 4:1 margin over 42.0 MPa. The ratio holds at every bore rather than thinning as the size grows.

06

Hydraulic Oil Delivery

The same body serves the delivery lines and the high-pressure washdown circuits, so one range covers the rig.

CONSTRUCTION

Compact Body, Full Pressure Class

Inner Tube

Oil-resistant synthetic rubber, bored 9.3 mm to 19.8 mm. Small bore keeps the body compact enough for a wellhead area.

Reinforcement

High-tensile steel wire carrying 42.0 MPa, with the reinforcement layer measuring 20.3 to 32.9 mm. The pressure class is held at every bore in the range.

Cover

An abrasion- and weather-resistant cover, outside diameter 23.3 to 36.1 mm. On a rig floor the cover meets tongs, slips and dragged steel, not just abrasion.

APPLICATIONS

Where It Runs on a Workover Rig

Wellhead Control Lines

3/8 inch at 420 bar on a 150 mm arc, routed inside a space the BOP stack already fills.

Tong and Power Swivel

1/2 inch at 42.0 MPa on a 200 mm arc, where the line moves with the tong arm.

Hydraulic Oil Delivery

5/8 inch at 0.99 to 1.23 kg/m, feeding the rig hydraulic system at full pressure.

High-Pressure Washdown

3/4 inch at 420 bar on a 265 mm arc, where flow matters more than the bore label.

Blowout Preventer Circuits

Control lines that hold pressure for long periods, on a body that keeps its 4:1 margin at 168.0 MPa burst.

Service Skid and Coiled Tubing Support

Auxiliary circuits on a skid where the total hose length is short and the arcs are all tight.

WHY DOHOSE

Seven Reasons Buyers Stay with Us

✔

Published Per Code

The Hose for Oilfield Well Servicing is published code by code — 4 rows, 10–19 mm, each with its own pressure and mass.

✔

One Factory, Whole Range

From the smallest to the largest bore in 10–19 mm, the Hose for Oilfield Well Servicing is made in one plant — no second source.

✔

Cut to the Metre

Take the length the job needs — Hose for Oilfield Well Servicing is cut from the coil, with 0.76–1.56 kg/m published so handling can be planned.

✔

Tested Before Boxing

Every assembly built from Hose for Oilfield Well Servicing passes a hydrostatic test before it leaves the plant.

FAQ

Well Servicing Hose — Ten Questions

Why can a 3/8 inch hose hold 420 bar?

Because the wall is built for it rather than for the bore. The 10 mm code is rated 42.0 MPa (420 bar) with 168.0 MPa minimum burst, on a 9.3 to 10.1 mm inside diameter, with a 20.3 mm reinforcement layer and a 23.3 mm outside diameter.

Does the rating drop as the bore grows?

No. All four codes are 42.0 MPa with 168.0 MPa burst, from 10 mm to 19 mm. What changes is the arc, 150 mm to 265 mm, and the mass, 0.76 to 1.56 kg/m, so the choice is made on space and flow.

What is the difference between the 3/8 and 3/4 inch codes?

Flow and routing. The 3/8 code gives a 150 mm arc at 0.76 kg/m, while the 3/4 code gives 265 mm at 1.56 kg/m. Both carry 42.0 MPa, so on a rig floor the decision is which one fits the wellhead area.

Can this replace a braided hose on a control line?

Only if the pressure class matches. This body holds 420 bar with a 4:1 margin, and a two-braid hose of the same bore will be a class lower. A BOP control line that holds pressure for long periods is not the place to accept a lower rating.

What inside diameters are available?

Four codes: 10, 12.5, 16 and 19 mm inside diameter, which is 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 inch. Outside diameter runs 23.3, 26.8, 30.2 and 36.1 mm in the same order, with a 150 to 265 mm bend radius.

Why does a high-pressure hose need a 4:1 margin?

Because the circuit sees spikes above the pump setting, and a control line can hold pressure for hours. The table publishes 168.0 MPa burst on 42.0 MPa working, which is the 4:1 ratio, and it is quoted per row rather than as a range average.

Which code for a wellhead control line?

The 3/8 inch code at 420 bar on a 150 mm arc. It is the tightest arc in the range and the lowest weight at 0.76 kg/m, which is what a wellhead area boxed in by the BOP stack allows.

Which code for hydraulic oil delivery on the rig?

The 5/8 inch code at 16 mm bore, 42.0 MPa and 1.23 kg/m. It sits between the control-line sizes and the 3/4 inch washdown size, and the flat 420 bar rating means it can share a store line with the rest of the rig.

What is the minimum order and lead time?

100 m per size, cut to length, across 9.3 mm to 19.8 mm inside diameter. Production runs about 20 days from confirmation, and assemblies ship crimped and pressure-tested with metric, BSP, JIC or ORFS ends.

What does it cost per metre?

Price follows the bore: 0.76 kg/m at 3/8 inch, 0.99 at 1/2, 1.23 at 5/8 and 1.56 kg/m at 3/4 inch. Samples are cut free so a route can be checked against the 150 to 265 mm arc, and a firm figure follows bore, length, ends and destination.
