PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
High Pressure Steam Hose — One Braid, 0.39 MPa Saturated
The name says high pressure, and the table says 0.39 MPa of saturated steam. That is not a contradiction: saturated steam at this pressure is a temperature problem, not a pressure problem, and the reinforcement only has to hold a few bar.
That is why every one of the seven codes carries a single braided layer. A second braid would add weight and stiffness for a pressure the service never reaches. What the hose does need is a tube and cover that tolerate the temperature, and a wall thick enough to keep the heat away from the operator.
Where the range really separates is the arc and the length. Minimum bend radius runs 150 mm at 13 mm bore to 400 mm at 38 mm, and coils drop from 50 m to 20 m above the 25 mm code, because a larger steam hose does not coil as tightly.

Application & Selection
Suitable for conveying saturated steam and other thermal mechanical equipment. HIGH PRESSURE STEAM HOSE is published in 7 codes, starting at the 13 mm bore. HIGH PRESSURE STEAM HOSE runs from -30°C~+164°C.
From 0.6 to 1.3 kg/m over the 7 rows. Assemblies of HIGH PRESSURE STEAM HOSE are crimped and pressure-tested in-house, with metric / BSP / JIC / ORFS ends. MOQ on HIGH PRESSURE STEAM HOSE is 100 m on standard items.
WHY THIS HOSE
Why One Braid Is the Right Answer
A steam hose is specified by temperature and routing. Pressure barely enters the decision.
0.39 MPa Is the Rating
Saturated steam pressure is published per row at 0.39 MPa, and it does not change with bore. That is the service ceiling on this range.
One Braid Across Seven
Every code from 13 mm to 38 mm carries a single braided layer, because a second layer would stiffen a hose for a pressure it never sees.
Arc Doubles With Bore
150 mm at 13 mm, 400 mm at 38 mm. Steam hose does not bend like a hydraulic line, and the wall is why.
Coils Drop to 20 m
50 m up to the 25 mm code, then 20 m for 32 and 38 mm. A larger steam hose has to be ordered in shorter lengths.
Weight 0.6 to 1.3 kg/m
Thick wall, moderate mass. A 50 m coil at 13 mm is 30 kg, which is a two-person carry rather than a one-person lift.
Reference OD to 50 mm
25 mm at the smallest code to 50 mm at the largest. That is what a clamp, a guard or an insulation sleeve has to clear.
CONSTRUCTION
Wall and Cover Do the Work
Inner Tube
A compound selected for saturated steam service, bored 13 mm to 38 mm. It has to tolerate the temperature continuously, which is the real requirement on this range.
Reinforcement
A single high-tensile wire braid on every code. Pressure is 0.39 MPa, so one layer carries the load and the wall is free to be built for heat.
Cover
A heat-resistant cover taking reference outside diameter to 25 mm at the smallest code and 50 mm at the largest. This layer also keeps the surface cooler to the touch.
APPLICATIONS
Where Saturated Steam Is Used
Steam Cleaning and Sanitising
13 and 16 mm lines at 0.39 MPa, on 150 and 170 mm arcs inside a machine housing.
Jacketed Vessels
19 mm at 210 mm arc, feeding a jacket where the condensate has to drain rather than collect.
Heat Exchanger Service
22 mm at 240 mm arc, on a short run between a manifold and a shell.
Vulcanising and Mould Heating
25 mm at 270 mm arc and 50 m coils, where the run reaches across a press shop.
Brewing and Dairy CIP
Steam injection into a cleaning circuit, on a line that is opened and re-made each shift.
Plant Maintenance Steam
32 and 38 mm lines at 20 m coils for temporary steam runs during shutdowns.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Steam Users Ask For
Steam enquiries are about temperature, coil length and how the hose behaves after a few hundred heat cycles.
① Temperature Over Pressure steam hose
Trend: Buyers quote the steam condition, not a bar figure.
Dohose: 0.39 MPa saturated steam published per row.
② Coil Length Limits long length hose
Trend: Large bore steam hose is ordered in short lengths by necessity.
Dohose: 50 m to the 25 mm code, 20 m above it.
③ Routing Space hose routing
Trend: Steam hose does not bend like hydraulic line, and layouts forget it.
Dohose: 150 mm at 13 mm bore rising to 400 mm at 38 mm.
④ Weight and Handling heavy hose
Trend: A hot hose is moved with gloves and a hook, not by hand.
Dohose: 0.6 to 1.3 kg/m, with a 50 m coil at 30 kg.
⑤ Cover Heat Ageing heat resistant hose
Trend: Cover hardening is the visible end-of-life signal.
Dohose: Heat-resistant cover, reference OD 25 to 50 mm.
⑥ Batch Records traceable hose
Trend: Pressure systems are inspected, so the hose record is asked for.
Dohose: Batch and test date are marked on each length.

FAQ
High Pressure Steam Hose — Ten Questions
What pressure is this hose rated for?
The table publishes 0.39 MPa of saturated steam on every code, from 13 mm to 38 mm bore. That is the service ceiling, and it does not change with size; the range is a high-temperature hose rather than a high-pressure one despite the name.
What is the difference between this and a two-braid steam hose?
Weight and stiffness, not safety. Every code here carries a single braided layer because 0.39 MPa does not need a second one. A two-layer body of the same bore would be heavier and would not bend as tightly, which matters when the arc runs to 400 mm.
Can a larger bore replace a smaller one on the same steam line?
Only if the routing and the coil length allow it. Going from 13 mm to 38 mm takes the minimum bend radius from 150 mm to 400 mm and the outside diameter from 25 mm to 50 mm, and the maximum coil length falls from 50 m to 20 m.
What are the bore and arc figures?
Seven codes run 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 32 and 38 mm bore, with minimum bend radius of 150, 170, 210, 240, 270, 350 and 400 mm in the same order. Reference outside diameter runs 25 mm to 50 mm and weight 0.6 to 1.3 kg/m.
Why does the coil length drop above 25 mm?
Because a bigger steam hose does not coil as tightly. The range is supplied at 50 m up to the 25 mm code and at 20 m for the 32 mm and 38 mm codes, so a long large-bore run needs a joint or a change of size.
Why is pressure not the limiting factor on a steam hose?
Because saturated steam at 0.39 MPa is a temperature duty, and the wall and tube are built for heat rather than for hoop stress. That is why one braid covers the whole range and why the published figures concentrate on bore, arc and length.
Which code for a steam cleaning lance?
The 13 mm code at 150 mm arc, 25 mm reference outside diameter and 0.6 kg/m, supplied in 50 m coils. It is the tightest arc on the range and the lightest, which is what a machine-mounted lance line needs.
Which code for a jacketed vessel connection?
The 19 mm code at 210 mm arc and 31 mm outside diameter, in 50 m coils. A jacket connection is short and fixed, so the arc and the outside diameter decide it rather than the flow.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
100 m per size, cut to length, with maximum single lengths of 50 metres up to the 25 mm code and 20 metres above it. Production runs about 20 days from confirmation, and OEM marking and packing are available.
What does it cost per metre?
Price follows the bore: 0.6 kg/m at 13 mm, 0.7 at 16, 0.8 at 19, 0.9 at 22, 1.0 at 25, 1.2 at 32 and 1.3 kg/m at 38 mm. Send the steam condition, the bore, the length and the destination, and a firm figure comes back the same working day.
