PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
SAE 100R17 Constant Pressure Hose — 225 bar From 5/16 to 1 inch
The YIBO R17 is a constant-pressure hose: an oil-resistant tube, a single steel wire braid, and an abrasion-resistant cover. Every bore carries the same working pressure, which is the whole idea.
The range is 6 codes from 8 mm to 25 mm, 5/16 inch to 1 inch, all rated 22.5 MPa (225 bar) with 90.0 MPa (900 bar) minimum burst — a 4.0x margin. Mass runs 0.22 to 1.29 kg/m and the bend radius 55 to 150 mm.
That constant rating is what a store wants: one drum covers a 5/16 inch pilot line and a 1 inch service line, and nobody has to read a pressure column to know which bore is safe at 225 bar.

WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons Constant Pressure Saves Money
A constant class is a stock-keeping decision before it is an engineering one, and the numbers here show what it costs in weight and bend.
225 bar at Every Bore
From 8 mm to 25 mm, every code is 22.5 MPa with 90 MPa burst. No column to read, no chance of ordering a bore that is derated.
Four Times Burst
90.0 MPa minimum burst against 22.5 MPa working on all six codes, which is a wider margin than the 2:1 used on R19 on similar bores.
55 mm Bend at 5/16 inch
The tightest row in the range, rising to 150 mm at 1 inch. A compact body is what makes 55 mm possible at 225 bar.
Six Bores, One Class
8 mm to 25 mm covers a pilot line and a service line from one drum, so a workshop holds one hose rather than four.
Light at the Small End
0.22 kg/m at 8 mm and 0.28 kg/m at 10 mm, which matters on a hand-held tool or a moving head.
Crimped and Tested
Constant-pressure bodies still need the right ferrule. Assemblies are crimped to a recorded diameter and proof-tested before dispatch.
CONSTRUCTION
One Braid, One Rating
Inner Tube
Oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR), bored 7.7 to 8.5 mm at 5/16 inch through to 25.0 to 26.4 mm at 1 inch.
Reinforcement
A single steel wire braid sized so that every bore lands on 22.5 MPa — 90.0 MPa burst at 8 mm and at 25 mm alike.
Cover
Abrasion- and weather-resistant cover, outside diameter 13.7 to 14.9 mm at 5/16 inch and 35.7 to 37.3 mm at 1 inch.
APPLICATIONS
Where R17 Is Used
Mixed Fleets
One class across a fleet means one drum in the store instead of a pressure table on the wall.
Pilot & Control Lines
8 and 10 mm at 22.5 MPa with 55 and 65 mm bends, which threads through a control block.
Machine Tool Clamp
Clamp and fixture circuits at 225 bar, where the 65 mm bend at 10 mm fits the fixture body.
Agricultural Implements
Lift and steer circuits that run at a fixed pressure regardless of cylinder size.
Bus & Truck Auxiliary Lines
Door, ramp and lift circuits on commercial vehicles, where 1 inch at 150 mm is the largest run.
Workshop Replacement
Six bores on one rating means a workshop can replace a line without checking which drum is which.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Drives R17 Demand
Constant pressure is bought by people who are tired of a pressure column, and the enquiries follow that logic.
① Fewer Stock Lines standard hose
Trend: Distributors want one class instead of four drums.
Dohose: All six codes from 8 mm to 25 mm are rated 22.5 MPa.
② Wrist-Thin Bends compact hose
Trend: Pilot circuits keep shrinking around a control block.
Dohose: 55 mm at the 8 mm code, 65 mm at 10 mm.
③ Burst Ratio Questions high pressure hose
Trend: Buyers now ask for the burst ratio, not just the working figure.
Dohose: 90.0 MPa burst at 22.5 MPa working, a 4.0x margin on every row.
④ Weight on Moving Parts lightweight hose
Trend: Hand-held tools and moving heads feel every gram.
Dohose: 0.22 kg/m at 8 mm and 0.38 kg/m at 12.5 mm.
⑤ One Inch on the Same Class standard hose
Trend: Fleets want the largest service bore to match the smallest pilot bore in class.
Dohose: The 25 mm code is still 22.5 MPa, at 1.29 kg/m and a 150 mm bend.
⑥ Traceability traceable hose
Trend: Even small-bore lines are recorded now.
Dohose: Batch and test date are marked on the body and recorded against the order.

FAQ
SAE 100R17 — Ten Questions
What is the working pressure at 3/8 inch?
The 10 mm code is rated 22.5 MPa (225 bar, 3,263 psi) with 90.0 MPa (900 bar) minimum burst. Minimum bend radius is 65 mm, mass is 0.28 kg/m, and the inside diameter is held between 9.3 and 10.1 mm.
What is the rating at 1 inch?
The 25 mm code is rated 22.5 MPa (225 bar) with 90.0 MPa burst — the same as every other bore in the range. Bend radius is 150 mm and mass is 1.29 kg/m.
R17 vs R19 — which one for 250 bar?
R19, because R17 stops at 225 bar on every code. At 12.5 mm R19 is rated 28.0 MPa (280 bar) while R17 is 22.5 MPa, but R19 gives only a 2:1 burst margin against 4:1 here. Below 225 bar R17 is the stronger-margin choice.
Why does the pressure not fall with bore?
Because the braid is sized per bore to reach the same rating. That is what constant pressure means, and it is why six codes from 8 mm to 25 mm all read 22.5 MPa with 90 MPa burst.
R17 vs a per-bore pressure range for store stock?
One drum replaces four. A per-bore range forces a pressure column on the wall and four drums in the store; R17 is 22.5 MPa at 8 mm and at 25 mm alike. If every circuit is at or below 225 bar, one drum covers the machine; a 250 bar relief cannot be covered.
Which code for a machine tool clamp?
3/8 inch at 22.5 MPa with a 65 mm bend radius, or 1/4 inch where flow is small and the fixture is tighter. Both are the same class, so the bore is a flow and space decision rather than a pressure one.
Why is the burst margin on R17 4:1 when R19 is 2:1?
Because that is what the two tables publish: R17 is 90.0 MPa at 22.5 MPa working, while R19 is 56.0 MPa at 28.0 MPa. A 4:1 margin means more headroom above the rating, which matters where pressure spikes are common.
Why does the 8 mm code kink at 55 mm?
Because 55 mm is the minimum, and a constant-pressure body is compact with little spare wall. Lay the line out at 70 mm and it runs; clamp it at exactly 55 mm with a fitting at an angle and the bore ovalises on the first heat cycle.
Which Chinese manufacturer supplies SAE 100R17 in bulk?
YIBO, in Luohe, Henan, braids 6 codes from 8 mm to 25 mm bore on one line, all rated 22.5 MPa with 90 MPa burst. Coils and crimped assemblies ship from the same plant.
What does R17 cost per metre?
Price follows the body: 0.22 kg/m at 5/16 inch, 0.68 kg/m at 5/8 inch, 1.29 kg/m at 1 inch. Send bore, length, ends and destination for a firm figure the same working day.
