PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Offshore Platform Hose — 420 bar, Salt Air, No Second Attempt
Offshore hydraulics have one advantage over a mill and one disadvantage: the environment is uniform, but nobody can fetch a replacement. Crane, winch, BOP and deck machinery circuits run high pressure in salt air, and a failed line is a production event rather than a repair.
Four sizes cover it, 3/4 inch to 1-1/4 inch. The top of the range is 420 bar at 3/4 inch; at 1-1/4 inch the table splits into two rows, 325 bar and 350 bar, both on a 460 mm bend, so a 340 bar circuit has to name the row it wants.
Mass runs 1.64 to 2.77 kg/m and every assembly is proof-tested before it is packed for shipment, because a platform spare that fails on installation costs a helicopter slot as well as a hose.

WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons Offshore Specification Is Different
The pressure is ordinary. The environment and the logistics are not.
420 bar at 3/4 inch
The 19 mm code is rated 42.0 MPa (420 bar) with 168.0 MPa (1,680 bar) minimum burst — the row crane and winch circuits are usually sized on.
Two Rows at 1-1/4 inch
32.5 MPa and 35.0 MPa on the same bore, both 2.77 kg/m with a 460 mm bend radius. A 340 bar circuit must specify the second row rather than assume the size decides it.
Salt-Air Cover
The cover is abrasion- and weather-resistant, which on a platform means salt spray and UV rather than rain. Cover life, not tube life, ends most offshore lines.
Bend Radius 280 to 460 mm
Published per row. Deck machinery is bolted down, so the routing is fixed and the hose has to fit it.
Tested Before It Ships
Proof-tested assemblies, marked with batch and test date, because the alternative is a repeat lift and a second shutdown.
Spares Logic
Four codes cover crane, winch and deck circuits, which is what a platform store can hold without duplicating bores.
CONSTRUCTION
Tube, Four Spirals, Weather Cover
Inner Tube
An NBR tube, held to 19.8 mm maximum at the small end and 33.0 mm at the large end, so a deck fitting lands on a bore rather than on a nominal size.
Reinforcement
Four alternating steel wire spirals, holding 42.0 MPa at 19 mm and 32.5 MPa at 32 mm on the same construction.
Cover
Weather- and abrasion-resistant cover, topping out at 33.0 mm outside on the 3/4 inch code and 47.1 mm on the 1-1/4 inch — the dimension a deck clamp actually closes on.
APPLICATIONS
Where These Codes Are Used Offshore
Deck Cranes
Crane hoist, luff and slew circuits at 3/4 inch and 420 bar, where 280 mm of bend radius is what the pedestal allows.
Winches & Capstans
Winch and anchor handling circuits at 1 inch and 380 bar, on a 340 mm bend radius.
BOP & Well Control
Well control and accumulator circuits at 1-1/4 inch, where 32.5 or 35.0 MPa decides the row.
Deck Machinery
Pipe handling, tongs and power units on the drill floor, all inside the same four codes.
Firewater & Utility
Utility and firewater pump circuits on the same 4SH class where pressure fits.
Platform Stores
Four codes cover the common circuits, which is what a store can stock without duplicating bores.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Offshore Buyers Ask For
Two words run through every enquiry: documentation and no surprises.
① Documentation First hose assembly
Trend: Offshore purchases are audited on paperwork before hardware.
Dohose: Every assembly is proof-tested and marked with batch and test date.
② Salt and UV outdoor hose
Trend: A deck line sees salt spray daily and sun every clear day.
Dohose: The cover is weather- and abrasion-resistant, and it is the cover that ends most offshore lines.
③ Fixed Deck Layouts compact hose
Trend: Machinery is bolted down and the hose has to fit an existing route.
Dohose: Bend radius is published from 280 mm at 3/4 inch to 460 mm at 1-1/4 inch.
④ Two Classes, One Bore high pressure hose
Trend: Platforms run mixed equipment with different relief settings.
Dohose: The 1-1/4 inch bore is published at both 32.5 and 35.0 MPa at 2.77 kg/m.
⑤ Spares Rationalisation standard hose
Trend: Storage space offshore is finite and every kilo is freight.
Dohose: Four codes cover crane, winch and well control circuits.
⑥ Traceability traceable hose
Trend: A failed deck line goes into an incident report.
Dohose: Batch and test date are marked and recorded against the order.
WHY DOHOSE
Seven Reasons Buyers Stay with Us
Numbers, Not Averages
Every figure for the Hose for Offshore Platforms comes from the per-code table: 19–32 mm, 420 bar working, 1680 bar burst.
One Line, Full Range
All 4 codes of the Hose for Offshore Platforms come off the same line, so a mixed order in 19–32 mm ships together.
Length on Demand
Cut-to-length supply for Hose for Offshore Platforms; each code carries its own mass, 1.64–2.77 kg/m, so lifting gear can be sized first.
Ends Done Here
Assemblies of Hose for Offshore Platforms are crimped on site and held at test pressure before they are boxed.

FAQ
Offshore Hose — Ten Questions
4SH at 1-1/4 inch — 32.5 or 35.0 MPa?
Whichever the relief setting needs. Both rows sit on the same 31.4 to 33.0 mm bore at 2.77 kg/m with a 460 mm bend radius and 4.0x burst, but one is rated 32.5 MPa (325 bar) and the other 35.0 MPa (350 bar). A 340 bar circuit must specify the 35.0 MPa row.
4SH vs a six-spiral R15 for deck machinery?
R15 if the bore is large or the pressure above 420 bar. At 2 inch R15 holds 42.0 MPa where 4SH is rated 25.0 MPa; below 1-1/2 inch and at 420 bar, 4SH at 19 mm is the lighter and cheaper answer at 1.64 kg/m.
What is the working pressure at 3/4 inch?
420 bar at 3/4 inch, with 6,092 psi working and 1,680 bar of burst behind it. A 280 mm bend is what the row allows, which is what a crane pedestal gives you when the winch frame is already welded in.
What is the rating at 1 inch?
380 bar on a 1 inch bore — the row winch and slew circuits usually land on. It needs 340 mm of bend and adds 2.12 kg to every metre run up the pedestal.
Deck crane vs winch — same hose class?
3/4 inch for hoist and luff at 420 bar with a 280 mm bend, and 1 inch for slew and boom circuits at 380 bar. Both are inside the four codes, so a crane set is one specification.
Does the cover handle salt air?
The cover is weather- and abrasion-resistant, which is what salt spray and UV demand. On a 1-1/4 inch line at 2.77 kg/m the cover is the first part to go, so a line that rubs a handrail still fails on a good compound: sleeve it at the rub point.
Why does an offshore assembly fail on installation?
Because the deck layout is fixed and the hose is forced into it. At 3/4 inch the minimum bend is 280 mm and at 1-1/4 inch it is 460 mm; a line bent tighter than that in a cramped pedestal works the outer spiral from the first cycle.
Why do fixed deck layouts force the bend radius?
Yes: crane lands on 3/4 inch at 420 bar, winch on 1 inch at 380 bar, and well control on 1-1/4 inch at 32.5 or 35.0 MPa. The bore follows the flow, and the class follows the relief.
Which Chinese manufacturer supplies offshore hose assemblies?
YIBO, in Luohe, Henan, supplies the 4SH range in 4 codes from 19 mm to 32 mm, all with a 4.0x burst margin, crimped and proof-tested in-house with batch and test date marked.
What does offshore hose cost per metre?
Cost tracks the wire pack: a metre of 3/4 inch weighs 1.64 kg, a metre of 1-1/4 inch 2.77 kg, and freight offshore is priced by weight as much as by length. Send the line list and the port and the figure comes back the same day.
