PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
K201 — 150 °C on Every Code, 175 bar Only at 8 mm
K201 is a heat-resistant oil hose for lines that run hot: a high-temperature oil-resistant synthetic tube, a steel wire braid, and a high-temperature oil-resistant cover, published from 7.7 mm to 50.4 mm inside diameter in nine codes and rated -40 °C to +150 °C.
The temperature is the constant in this table; the pressure is not. The 8 mm code carries 17.5 MPa (175 bar) against 70 MPa burst, and the 2 inch code carries 2.6 MPa (26 bar) against 10.4 MPa — a 6.7-fold fall across nine bores, with every row held at exactly 4:1.
Bend radius follows the same shape, from 115 mm at the small end to 630 mm at 2 inch, and the outside diameter runs 14.3 mm to 65.5 mm. Read together, that is a hose for hot oil on a press, a test bed or a heat-transfer skid, where the bore is set by flow and the pressure by the circuit, not the other way round.

WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons a Hot Oil Line Is Specified This Way
Heat sets the compound and the bore sets the rating. These six points are what the K201 table answers.
150 °C on All Nine
The service window is -40 °C to +150 °C across the range, from the 8 mm code at 14.3 mm outside to the 51 mm code at 65.5 mm, so the temperature is not a function of size.
Pressure Falls 6.7×
17.5 MPa at the 8 mm bore, 10.5 at 16 mm, 7 at 1 inch and 2.6 MPa at 51 mm: the table publishes the fall rather than quoting one figure for the range.
4:1 Throughout
Every code is quoted at four times its working pressure, from 70 MPa burst on 17.5 MPa at 8 mm to 10.4 MPa burst on 2.6 MPa at 2 inch.
Wire Braid, Not Cord
A single steel wire braid is what holds 175 bar on a 7.7 mm bore while the tube stays a high-temperature compound, and it is also why the 51 mm code still turns in 630 mm.
Published Bore Range
Inside diameter is given as a min and a max on every code, 7.7 to 8.5 mm at the 5/16 inch and 50.4 to 52 mm at 2 inch, so a fitting is sized against the real bore on a hot line where clearance matters.
Arc to 630 mm
Bend radius runs 115, 130, 180, 200, 240, 300, 420, 500 and 630 mm in bore order, which is the figure a hot-oil run is laid out from at 150 °C.
CONSTRUCTION
Hot Tube, Wire Braid, Hot Cover
Inner Tube
A high-temperature oil-resistant synthetic rubber, built for petroleum and lubricating oil up to +150 °C, from 7.7 mm to 50.4 mm bore.
Reinforcement
One steel wire braid layer, which carries the 175 bar at the small end and the 26 bar at 2 inch at the same 4:1 margin.
Cover
A high-temperature oil-resistant cover, outside diameter 14.3 mm at the 8 mm code to 65.5 mm at the 51 mm code.
APPLICATIONS
Where Oil Runs at 150 °C
Hydraulic Press Return
The 13 mm code at 14 MPa on a 180 mm arc, taking hot return oil off a press.
Engine Test Beds
The 19 mm code at 8.7 MPa and 240 mm, on a line that stays hot for a whole test cycle.
Heat Transfer Skids
The 25 mm code at 7 MPa, where 150 °C is the working temperature rather than a peak.
Lubrication Circuits
The 8 mm code at 17.5 MPa and a 115 mm arc, for a small-bore lube feed.
Mould Temperature Control
The 16 mm code at 10.5 MPa, on a 200 mm radius inside a press frame.
Oil Transfer at 2 inch
The 51 mm code at 2.6 MPa and 630 mm, where flow sets the bore and 26 bar is ample.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Buyers Ask on a Hot Oil Line
Temperature life and the per-bore rating are the two questions, and the table answers both without a catalogue average.
① Higher Sump Temperatures heat resistant hose
Trend: Machines run hotter than the hose they replaced.
Dohose: -40 °C to +150 °C across nine codes.
② One Hose, Two Duties hot oil hose
Trend: A press has a high-pressure and a return line.
Dohose: 175 bar at 8 mm, 26 bar at 51 mm, same 4:1.
③ Per-Bore Rating pressure rated hose
Trend: Buyers check the code, not the headline figure.
Dohose: Nine working pressures published, 2.6 to 17.5 MPa.
④ Envelope at Temperature bend radius hose
Trend: Routing is checked hot, not cold.
Dohose: 115 mm at 8 mm bore to 630 mm at 51 mm.
⑤ Fitting Clearance crimped hose
Trend: Couplings are chosen from the real bore.
Dohose: Min and max inside diameter on every code.
⑥ Documented Service Life tested hose
Trend: Replacement intervals are planned.
Dohose: Each length marked with code and test date.

FAQ
K201 Heat Resistant Oil Hose — Ten Questions
K201 vs a standard wire-braided hose at the same bore?
The compound, not the braid. Both carry a single wire braid, but K201 is rated to +150 °C and its working pressure is published per code: 17.5 MPa at 7.7 mm bore falling to 2.6 MPa at 50.4 mm, always at 4:1.
Can it replace a PTFE hose on a hot oil line?
Where the temperature stays at or under 150 °C and the pressure is inside the per-code rating, yes, and it costs less. PTFE earns its place above that window or where chemical inertness is the point; a K201 line at 7 MPa and 150 °C does not need it.
What is the rating on the 2 inch code?
2.6 MPa (26 bar) working with 10.4 MPa (104 bar) minimum burst, on a 50.4 to 52 mm bore, a 65.5 mm outside diameter, a 630 mm bend radius and a 4:1 margin.
What does the 8 mm code carry?
17.5 MPa (175 bar) against 70 MPa minimum burst, on a 7.7 to 8.5 mm bore with a 14.3 to 15.7 mm outside diameter and a 115 mm bend radius — the highest rating in the range.
Will it carry petroleum and lubricating oil at 150 °C?
That is the published duty: petroleum products and lubricating oil, at -40 °C to +150 °C. On the 19 mm code that means 8.7 MPa on an 18.6 to 19.8 mm bore, with 34.8 MPa burst behind it.
What about heat transfer oil in a press?
It is the same family of duty, and the 13 mm code at 14 MPa with a 180 mm arc is the size most press return lines use. Keep the flow inside the bore and the temperature inside 150 °C, and the 4:1 margin is unchanged.
Why does the pressure drop so much as the bore grows?
Because the braid is one layer over a growing diameter: 17.5 MPa at 7.7 mm, 10.5 at 15.5 mm, 7 at 25 mm and 2.6 MPa at 50.4 mm. The table lists each figure against its code rather than quoting the smallest bore as a range figure.
Why does the cover crack after a year at 150 °C?
Usually radiant heat from a nearby manifold rather than the oil itself, which cooks the cover while the tube stays inside its window. On the 8 mm code with a 14.3 mm outside diameter there is little insulation, so a sleeve or a re-route is the fix, not a thicker hose.
What is the minimum order?
One coil or cut lengths from a metre, across any of the nine codes from 7.7 mm to 50.4 mm bore. Mixed orders are packed by bore, and each length is marked with the code, the pressure class and the test date so a hot line can be traced later.
How is K201 priced?
Per metre by bore and by the wire braid inside it: the 7.7 mm code at 17.5 MPa and the 50.4 mm code at 2.6 MPa are different articles at different prices. Send bore, working pressure, temperature and destination for a firm figure.
