PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Compact Two-Wire Braid Hose — 2SN Pressure, 3 to 4 mm Slimmer Outside
The YIBO 2SC is a compact two-wire braid hydraulic hose. The tube, the double braid and the cover are all there; what is different is the wall, which is built thinner so the outside diameter shrinks without giving up pressure class.
The range is 7 codes from 6.3 mm to 25 mm, 1/4 inch to 1 inch. Working pressure is 40.0 MPa (400 bar) at 1/4 inch and 16.5 MPa (165 bar) at 1 inch, with a 4.0x burst margin on every row. Mass runs 0.28 to 1.17 kg/m.
At 3/8 inch this body is rated the same 33.0 MPa as a standard 2SN, but it measures 18.2 mm outside against 21.7 mm, bends to 90 mm against 130 mm, and weighs 0.43 kg/m against 0.60 kg/m. That is the entire proposition.

Values are reproduced from the official YIBO product page. psi columns = MPa × 145.038, rounded. Ratings run to 400 bar working / 1,600 bar minimum burst over the 6.3–25 mm bore band; the order data sheet governs the batch.
Application & Selection
Suitable for conveying hydraulic fluids such as glycol, hydraulic oils, lubricating oils, and emulsions, etc. COMPACT TWO-WIRE BRAIDED HYDRAULIC HOSE covers 6.1–26.4 mm across 7 published codes.
The 2SC-04-06 row of COMPACT TWO-WIRE BRAIDED HYDRAULIC HOSE is rated 400 bar working with 1,600 bar minimum burst — a 4:1 margin; larger bores step down. This series weighs 0.28–1.17 kg/m. Assemblies are crimped and pressure-tested in-house, metric / BSP / JIC / ORFS ends, across the 7 codes in the 6.3–25 mm band. COMPACT TWO-WIRE BRAIDED HYDRAULIC HOSE takes around 20 days from confirmation, covering the 7 codes from 2SC-04-06; OEM marking available.
WHY THIS HOSE
Six Numbers Behind a Compact Body
Compact does not mean derated. These six figures show where the saving comes from and where it does not.
Same Rating as Standard 2SN
33.0 MPa (330 bar) at 3/8 inch, 27.5 MPa at 1/2 inch, identical to a standard two-braid body on the same bore. Nothing is given up in the pressure column.
3.5 mm Smaller Outside
18.2 mm outside at 3/8 inch against 21.7 mm for a standard 2SN. On a bundle of twelve lines that is over 40 mm of extra space in the same channel.
Bend Radius Cut to 90 mm
90 mm at 3/8 inch against 130 mm. The tighter bend is what makes a compact body worth specifying in a machine frame that has already been drawn.
Weight Down About a Quarter
0.43 kg/m at 3/8 inch against 0.60 kg/m, and 0.28 kg/m at 1/4 inch. Less rubber and a thinner cover, not less wire.
400 bar at the 1/4 inch Code
The smallest code is rated 40.0 MPa (400 bar) with 160 MPa (1,600 bar) minimum burst, which is where compact hose usually wins its place: a small bore that still holds.
Matched Ferrules, Not Standard Ones
A compact body needs the ferrule made for its wall. We crimp on a recorded diameter and proof-test each assembly, because a standard ferrule on a thin wall is the classic failure.
CONSTRUCTION
Same Three Layers, Thinner Walls
Inner Tube
Oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR), bored to the table: 6.1 to 6.9 mm at the 1/4 inch code, 25.0 to 26.4 mm at 1 inch.
Reinforcement
Two layers of high-tensile steel wire braid, held to the same rating as a standard body: 33.0 MPa at 3/8 inch, 21.5 MPa at 3/4 inch.
Cover
Thinner abrasion-resistant cover than a standard hose, which is where most of the outside diameter is saved: 18.2 mm at 3/8 inch, 29.0 mm at 3/4 inch.
APPLICATIONS
Where a Compact Body Earns Its Place
Dense Manifold Bundles
Twelve lines through one channel: 18.2 mm outside at 3/8 inch instead of 21.7 mm frees real space.
Forklift Mast & Tilt
3/8 inch at 33.0 MPa with a 90 mm bend radius routes inside a mast channel that a standard hose fills.
Machine Tool Enclosures
Clamp and return lines where the frame is already built and the bend radius has to fit it, not the other way round.
Agricultural Implement Wings
Folding wings and narrow linkages where 90 mm of bend radius decides whether the line survives the fold.
Small Bore High Pressure
1/4 inch at 40.0 MPa (400 bar) where the circuit is small but the pressure is not.
Retrofit & Re-Pipe
Re-piping an older machine without cutting the frame, because the hose now fits the space that exists.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
Why Compact Hose Keeps Winning Specifications
Machine frames are designed before the hose is chosen, so the hose has to fit a space that is already fixed.
① Frames Built First compact hose
Trend: Enclosures and channels are designed around the machine, and the hose is sourced afterwards to fit them.
Dohose: 18.2 mm outside at 3/8 inch against 21.7 mm buys 3.5 mm back per line.
② Bend Radius as a Limit compact hose
Trend: The routing budget, not the pressure, is what rules a hose out on a re-pipe.
Dohose: Minimum bend radius is 90 mm at 3/8 inch and 75 mm at the 1/4 inch code, printed per row.
③ Weight on Moving Parts lightweight hose
Trend: On a folding implement or a mast, mass per metre is a load on the structure.
Dohose: 0.43 kg/m at 3/8 inch against 0.60 kg/m for the standard body.
④ No Derating high pressure hose
Trend: Buyers check that compact means smaller, not weaker.
Dohose: The rating matches standard 2SN row for row: 40.0 MPa at 1/4 inch, 21.5 MPa at 3/4 inch.
⑤ Cleanliness at the Port clean hydraulic hose
Trend: Proportional valves ask for cleanliness at the port regardless of hose size.
Dohose: Bores are blown through and capped before crimping.
⑥ Traceability traceable hose
Trend: A compact body is often fitted where access is poor, so the batch record matters more, not less.
Dohose: Batch and test date are marked on the body and recorded against the order.

FAQ
Compact 2SC Hose — Ten Questions
2SC vs 2SN at 3/8 inch — what actually changes?
Only the dimensions. Both are rated 33.0 MPa (330 bar) with 132 MPa burst on the same 10 mm bore, but 2SC measures 18.2 mm outside against 21.7 mm, bends to 90 mm against 130 mm, and weighs 0.43 kg/m against 0.60 kg/m. If the routing is already tight, the compact body is the one that fits.
Should I use compact hose instead of standard 2SN?
No. The 1/4 inch code here is rated 40.0 MPa (400 bar) with 160 MPa (1,600 bar) minimum burst, and the 3/4 inch code is 21.5 MPa, both identical to the standard two-braid range on the same bores. What is thinner is the cover and the rubber wall, not the wire.
What is the working pressure of 1/2 inch 2SC?
The 12.5 mm code is rated 27.5 MPa working (275 bar, 3,989 psi) with 110 MPa (1,100 bar) minimum burst. Minimum bend radius is 130 mm, mass is 0.52 kg/m, and the outside diameter runs 20.0 to 21.6 mm.
What bore of 2SC for 60 l/min at 250 bar?
At 250 bar only the 5/8 inch code qualifies, at exactly 25.0 MPa (250 bar): 16 mm bore passes 60 l/min at about 5 m/s. The 3/4 inch code runs the same flow at 3.5 m/s but is rated 21.5 MPa, so it cannot take 250 bar. Pressure decides the bore here, not velocity.
Which 2SC code for a forklift mast?
3/8 inch at 33.0 MPa (330 bar) with a 90 mm bend radius and 0.43 kg/m. The 90 mm figure is why compact hose is used on masts: the channel is fixed, and a standard body needs 130 mm.
Does 2SC run on water-based fluid?
Yes, in a narrower window: -40 to +100 ℃ on oil and 0 to +70 ℃ on water-based media. At 3/8 inch the pressure rating of 33.0 MPa still applies on HFC; it is the 70 ℃ ceiling that usually ends the application first.
Why does a compact hose kink at exactly 90 mm?
Because 90 mm is the minimum, not a comfortable working figure. At the limit there is no margin left for a clamp that slipped or a fitting that sits at an angle, so the bore ovalises and stays oval. Lay it out at 110 to 120 mm and the same hose lasts.
Why did a 2SC assembly burst right at the ferrule?
Almost always a standard ferrule on a compact wall: at 3/8 inch the outside diameter is 18.2 mm against 21.7 mm for the standard body, so the cover under the ferrule is measurably thinner. The thinner cover means the ferrule has less to bite, so an over-crimp crushes the outer braid and an under-crimp lets the tube creep. The ferrule has to be the one made for this body, crimped to a recorded diameter and proof-tested.
Which Chinese manufacturer supplies compact 2SC hose in bulk?
YIBO, in Luohe, Henan, builds the compact range on the same line as the standard body: 7 codes from 6.3 mm to 25 mm bore, 1/4 inch to 1 inch, all with a 4.0x burst margin. Assemblies are crimped with the matching ferrule and tested one by one.
What does 2SC cost per metre at 1 inch?
Price follows the body: 0.43 kg/m at 3/8 inch, 0.83 kg/m at 3/4 inch, 1.17 kg/m at 1 inch, so 100 m of 1 inch is a 117 kg coil. Send bore, length, ends and destination and a firm figure comes back the same working day.
