PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Compact Pilot Hose — 125 bar in a 50 mm Bend
The YIBO pilot hose is built for control and return circuits where space, not pressure, is the constraint: an oil-resistant synthetic rubber tube, one layer of steel wire braid, and an oil-resistant cover.
It comes in 4 codes from 5 mm to 10 mm, 3/16 inch to 3/8 inch. Every row is rated 12.5 MPa (125 bar) working with 25 MPa (250 bar) minimum burst, and every row bends to 50 mm.
That bend radius is the whole point. A 2SN on the same 5 mm bore carries 41.5 MPa but needs 90 mm to turn; a compact single-braid body needs 75 mm. At 50 mm this hose fits inside a control block or a joystick housing where the others simply will not go.

Application & Selection
COMPACT PILOT HOSE — PILOT — Braided Hydraulic Hose. MEDIUM PRESSURE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS WITH LIMITED INSTALLATION SPACE, PILOT CONTROL CIRCUITS, AND RETURN. COMPACT PILOT HOSE is published in 4 codes spanning 5–10 mm bore.
COMPACT PILOT HOSE tops out at 125 bar working over its 4 codes. From 0.40 to 0.55 kg/m over the 4 rows. We crimp and test every build in-house — 4 codes, 5–10 mm. COMPACT PILOT HOSE starts at 100 m, across the 5–10 mm range.
WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons This Hose Is for Routing, Not for Rams
Everything here follows from one number: 50 mm. Read the burst margin before you put it on a pressure line.
50 mm Bend on All Four Codes
From 5 mm to 10 mm bore, every row bends to 50 mm. That is 25 mm tighter than a compact single-braid body and 40 mm tighter than a 2SN on the same 5 mm bore.
125 bar, Constant Across the Range
All four codes are rated 12.5 MPa (125 bar) with 1,813 psi, so the bore is a flow and fitting decision rather than a pressure one.
A 2:1 Burst Margin, Stated Plainly
25 MPa minimum burst against 12.5 MPa working. That is half the margin the pressure ranges carry, which is why this hose belongs on pilot and return lines rather than on a ram.
Small Outside Diameter
9.5 mm at the 5 mm code and 15.8 mm at 10 mm. In a bundle of eight pilot lines that difference decides whether the loom closes.
Light Enough to Ignore
0.40 kg/m at 5 mm through to 0.55 kg/m at 10 mm, so a pilot harness adds almost nothing to the machine.
Crimped and Tested
Assemblies are crimped with the ferrule for this body and proof-tested before dispatch, then marked with batch and test date.
CONSTRUCTION
Tube, One Braid, Cover
Inner Tube
Oil-resistant synthetic rubber, bored from 4.4 to 5.3 mm at the 5 mm code through to 9.6 to 10.1 mm at 10 mm.
Reinforcement
A single layer of steel wire braid, which is what holds 12.5 MPa at a 50 mm bend radius without the hose collapsing.
Cover
Oil-resistant cover, outside diameter 9.5 to 10.4 mm at the 5 mm code and 15.2 to 15.8 mm at 10 mm.
APPLICATIONS
Where a Pilot Hose Belongs
Pilot & Control Circuits
Joystick, valve and remote-control lines at 125 bar, inside a housing that leaves 50 mm and no more.
Return & Drain Lines
Low-pressure returns on compact machines, where a 4 mm wall of steel braid is already more than the line needs.
Hydrostatic Transmission Controls
Control and servo lines on compact drives, where response matters more than pressure.
Instrumentation & Test Points
Gauge and sensor connections on a manifold, where the hose has to bend immediately behind the fitting.
Cab & Joystick Loom
Lines that run through a cab pillar or a joystick base, where 9.5 mm outside and a 50 mm bend are the design limits.
Compact Machine Harnesses
Mini excavators and compact loaders, where several pilot lines share one channel.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
Why Compact Pilot Hose Keeps Being Specified
Cab layouts and joystick housings are shrinking, and the pilot line is the part that has to give.
① Joystick Housings Shrink compact hose
Trend: Control housings are designed around ergonomics, and the hydraulic line fits in afterwards.
Dohose: 50 mm minimum bend on every code from 5 mm to 10 mm.
② Many Lines, One Loom compact hose
Trend: A modern cab carries more pilot functions than it did ten years ago.
Dohose: Outside diameter runs 9.5 mm at 5 mm bore to 15.8 mm at 10 mm.
③ Weight in the Cab lightweight hose
Trend: Anything mounted on a joystick adds to operator effort.
Dohose: 0.40 to 0.55 kg/m across the range.
④ Control Pressure Stays Low pilot hose
Trend: Pilot circuits run at low pressure by design, so the hose is chosen on geometry.
Dohose: All four codes are 12.5 MPa with 25 MPa burst.
⑤ Cleanliness at the Valve clean hydraulic hose
Trend: Proportional pilot valves are sensitive to debris from cutting.
Dohose: Bores are blown through and capped before crimping.
⑥ Traceability traceable hose
Trend: Pilot failures are diagnosed by elimination, which needs batch data.
Dohose: Batch and test date are marked on the assembly and recorded against the order.
WHY DOHOSE
Seven Reasons Buyers Stay with Us
Numbers, Not Averages
Every figure for the Compact Pilot Hose comes from the per-code table: 4.4–9.6 mm, 125 bar working, 250 bar burst.
One Line, Full Range
All 4 codes of the Compact Pilot Hose come off the same line, so a mixed order in 4.4–9.6 mm ships together.
Length on Demand
Cut-to-length supply for Compact Pilot Hose; each code carries its own mass, 0.40 to 0.55 kg/m across the four codes, so lifting gear can be sized first.
Ends Done Here
Assemblies of Compact Pilot Hose are crimped on site and held at test pressure before they are boxed.
Export Packing
Coiled in poly bags, then woven bags on pallets — loading plans are drawn for 4-code orders.
OEM Ready
Brand printing and custom packing are standard options on the Compact Pilot Hose.
Fast, Firm Pricing
A firm price for Compact Pilot Hose usually returns within 1 hour of your enquiry.
FAQ
Compact Pilot Hose — Ten Questions
Pilot hose vs 2SN on a 5 mm bore?
The 2SN is stronger and lighter: 41.5 MPa with 90 mm of bend radius and 0.33 kg/m, against 12.5 MPa, 50 mm and 0.40 kg/m here. You buy the pilot hose for the 40 mm it takes off the bend radius, so if the routing has 90 mm to spare, the 2SN is the better hose.
Pilot hose vs compact single-braid at 6.3 mm?
The compact single-braid body carries 22.5 MPa and bends to 75 mm; this one carries 12.5 MPa and bends to 50 mm. Both are single-braid, so the choice is 25 mm of bend radius against 100 bar of pressure.
What is the working pressure at 1/4 inch?
The 6 mm code is rated 12.5 MPa working (125 bar, 1,813 psi) with 25 MPa (250 bar) minimum burst. Minimum bend radius is 50 mm, mass is 0.45 kg/m, and the outside diameter runs 10.5 to 11.2 mm.
What is the rating at 3/8 inch?
The 10 mm code is rated 12.5 MPa (125 bar) with 25 MPa burst, on an inside diameter of 9.6 to 10.1 mm. Bend radius is still 50 mm and mass is 0.55 kg/m, with an outside diameter of 15.2 to 15.8 mm.
Which lines on a machine should use it?
Pilot, control, return and gauge lines, where the circuit sits at or below 125 bar. A ram line at 250 bar is outside both the working rating and the burst margin, and that is where a 2SN or a compact two-braid body belongs.
Can it be used as a return line?
Yes, and that is a common use: return and drain circuits run at a few bar, so the 125 bar rating is ample and the 50 mm bend lets the line follow the frame. For a return that sees suction, the spiral-reinforced suction range is the correct body instead.
Why is the burst margin only 2:1?
Because that is what the published column says: 12.5 MPa working against 25 MPa minimum burst. It is a pilot hose, not a pressure hose, and a 2:1 margin is a design decision rather than a defect. On any circuit near 125 bar, the margin is what you are relying on, so treat it as the limit.
Why does the hose kink at 50 mm?
Because 50 mm is the minimum, and a single braid has little spare wall to resist ovalising at the limit. Lay the line out at 65 mm and it runs indefinitely; clamp it at exactly 50 mm with a fitting at an angle and the bore ovalises on the first heat cycle.
Which Chinese manufacturer supplies compact pilot hose in bulk?
YIBO, in Luohe, Henan, builds 4 codes from 5 mm to 10 mm bore on one line, all rated 12.5 MPa with 25 MPa burst. Coils and crimped assemblies ship from the same plant, loading through Qingdao or Shanghai.
What does the pilot hose cost per metre?
Price follows the body and the ends: 0.40 kg/m at 5 mm, 0.55 kg/m at 10 mm, so 100 m of the 10 mm code is a 55 kg coil. Send bore, length, ends and destination for a firm figure the same working day.
