PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Hydraulic Suction and Return Hose — 19 to 203 mm, Wire Held
This is the hose between a hydraulic reservoir and a pump, and back again: an NBR + SBR oil-resistant tube, a reinforcement of high-strength polyester cord with spiral steel wire, and an NBR + SBR cover, published in ten bores from 19 mm to 203 mm at 10 bar working and 30 bar minimum burst.
The two legs of that circuit ask different things of the same hose. On the suction leg the pump is pulling and the bore is loaded from outside; on the return the oil arrives at low pressure and the hose is only asked to carry it. The spiral wire is there for the first case, and it is what stops a 203 mm bore folding in on itself when a strainer blocks.
Bend radius is published per code from 100 mm at the 19 mm bore to 1100 mm at 203 mm, mass from 0.67 kg/m to 12.50 kg/m, and the coil changes once — 61 m to 4 inch, 30.5 m on the 6 and 8 inch codes.

WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons a Reservoir Line Is Built This Way
A hydraulic reservoir is a low-pressure circuit with one hard moment: the second the pump starts pulling against a cold, thick oil.
Wire for the Suction Leg
The spiral steel wire is what keeps a 203 mm bore open when the pump pulls and the oil is cold. Without it the same wall would flatten and the pump would cavitate.
10 bar Is the Circuit
Every code is 10 bar working with 30 bar minimum burst, a 3:1 margin, because a reservoir line is a return and suction circuit rather than a pressure line.
Ten Bores to 8 inch
19, 25, 32, 38, 51, 64, 76, 102, 152 and 203 mm, so the suction strainer and the return diffuser can be built from one hose family at the two ends of a tank.
Oil-Resistant Both Sides
The tube and the cover are both NBR blended with SBR, so the hose that carries the oil is also the hose that sits in the oil film on a machine base.
Arc to 1100 mm
Bend radius runs 100 mm at the 19 mm code to 1100 mm at 203 mm, published per code, which is the figure a reservoir connection is laid out from.
Coil Halves at 6 inch
The eight codes to 4 inch come on a 61 m coil and the 152 and 203 mm codes on 30.5 m, where 8.17 and 12.50 kg/m make a longer length a handling problem.
CONSTRUCTION
NBR + SBR, Cord and Wire, NBR + SBR
Inner Tube
NBR blended with SBR, an oil-resistant tube for hydraulic fluid, in bores from 19 mm to 203 mm.
Reinforcement
High-strength polyester cord with spiral steel wire, which carries 10 bar and holds the bore on the suction leg.
Cover
NBR blended with SBR again, an oil and abrasion-resistant cover from 30 mm outside at the 19 mm code to 224 mm at 203 mm.
APPLICATIONS
Where a Reservoir Connects
Pump Suction
The 76 mm code at 3.08 kg/m on a 450 mm arc, from a tank strainer to a pump inlet.
Tank Return
The 51 mm code at 1.93 kg/m, taking return oil back to the reservoir at 10 bar.
Bulk Oil Transfer
The 102 mm code at 4.97 kg/m, moving oil into a reservoir from a delivery point.
Filtration Skids
The 38 mm code at 1.50 kg/m, on a kidney loop where the bore is small and the arc short.
Large Reservoir Returns
The 203 mm code at 12.50 kg/m and a 1100 mm arc, the largest in the range.
Machine Base Runs
The 19 mm code at 0.67 kg/m, the smallest bore and the tightest 100 mm arc.

FAQ
Hydraulic Suction and Return Hose — Ten Questions
Hydraulic suction hose vs a chemical suction hose — what changes?
The tube compound. Both are 10 bar suction and discharge hoses over a wide bore range, but this one is an NBR and SBR tube for hydraulic oil, where a chemical hose is lined for aggressive media and is a different part.
Can it replace a wire-braided pressure hose on a return line?
Yes on the return, which sits at 10 bar — and it is the right choice there, because a braided pressure hose is stiffer and costs more than the duty needs. It is not a pressure line hose and must not be used on one.
What is the rating on the 8 inch code?
10 bar working with 30 bar minimum burst, on a 203 mm bore, a 224 mm outside diameter, a 1100 mm bend radius and 12.50 kg per metre, on a 30.5 m coil.
What is the smallest bore, and where is it used?
19 mm at 3/4 inch, with a 30 mm outside diameter, 0.67 kg per metre and a 100 mm bend radius — the tightest arc in the range, on a machine base run.
Will it carry hydraulic oil on the suction leg?
That is what the spiral wire is for: an oil-resistant NBR and SBR tube at 10 bar, with the wire holding the bore while the pump pulls. The 76 mm code at 3.08 kg/m is the usual pump suction size.
Can the same hose be used for the return?
Yes — the 51 mm code at 1.93 kg/m and a 300 mm arc is a common return size, and the rating of 10 bar with 30 bar burst covers both legs of the same circuit.
Why is the pressure only 10 bar?
Because a reservoir circuit is suction and return, not pressure. 30 bar burst sits behind the 10 bar working figure as a 3:1 margin, and the hard moment on this hose is the suction pull rather than the pressure.
Why does a suction hose collapse at start-up?
Because the oil is cold and thick and the pump pulls harder than the wall can resist — usually with a blocked strainer on top of it. On the 203 mm code the flat area of the bore is largest, so that is where a blocked intake is felt first.
What is the minimum order?
One coil or cut lengths from a metre across the ten bores from 19 mm to 203 mm. The 61 m coil covers 3/4 to 4 inch and the 30.5 m coil the 6 and 8 inch codes.
How is the hose priced?
Per metre by bore: 0.67 kg/m at the 19 mm code against 12.50 kg/m at 203 mm. Send bore, whether the line is suction or return, length and destination for a firm figure.
