PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Vibration Isolation Hose — 1 to 3 Metres, 2-1/2 to 12 inch
This is a short flexible spool rather than a length of hose: a 1 to 3 m rubber section with a medium-resistant liner and a multi-layer high-strength fibre braid, published in eight bores from 64 mm to 304 mm — 2-1/2 to 12 inch — at 5 to 20 bar.
It is bolted between a pump, fan, compressor or generator set and the pipework, and it does one job: it decouples the machine from the line. The braid gives flexibility and absorbs vibration, the cover is published as aging-resistant and weather-resistant, and the liner is there to seal rather than to convey anything exotic.
The service window is -20 °C to +100 °C, the bore steps run 64, 76, 102, 127, 152, 203, 254 and 304 mm, and the length is quoted per order inside the 1 to 3 m band. A spool longer than that stops being a flexible element and starts being a pipe run.
The eight bores follow the flange sizes a plant room actually uses, from 2-1/2 inch up to 12 inch, so the spool is ordered by the flange on the machine rather than by a nominal pipe size. Below 64 mm the part would be too stiff to absorb anything at the length published, which is why the table starts where it does.

Application & Selection
Application: used at inlet and outlet of water pumps, fans, compressors, generator sets and other equipment. absorb equipment vibration, block vibration transmission of pipelines, compensate pipeline displacement and reduce operating noise. VIBRATION ISOLATION RUBBER HOSE is published in 8 codes, starting at the 2-1/2" bore. VIBRATION ISOLATION RUBBER HOSE runs from -20°C~+100°C.
VIBRATION ISOLATION RUBBER HOSE is rated 20 bar working, published per code rather than as one headline figure. Crimped and tested to the 20 bar working figure, across the 8 codes of this range. VIBRATION ISOLATION RUBBER HOSE runs roughly 20 days from confirmation over its 8 codes, with OEM marking and packing.
WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons the Length Is the Specification
A flexible spool is bought to move a few millimetres, not to carry a flow. These six points are what that means on an order.
One to Three Metres
The published length band is 1 to 3 m because a longer spool cannot absorb movement without sagging. The flexibility has to come from a short run, not from a long one.
Eight Bores to 12 inch
From 64 mm to 304 mm, which is 2-1/2 to 12 inch, so the spool is matched to the pump flange rather than bushed down to it.
A Band From 5 to 20 bar
Working pressure is published as 5 to 20 bar because it is chosen against the equipment it serves: a fan inlet sits at the bottom, a pump discharge at the top.
Sized by Flange
The bore matches the machine flange, and the 64 mm code at one end and the 304 mm code at the other differ by nearly five times in diameter for the same 1 to 3 m length.
Temperature First
The -20 °C to +100 °C window is what decides the compound, and it covers a boiler room, a plant room and an engine hall without a special build.
Seals, Does Not Convey
The liner is published for medium resistance and reliable sealing rather than for abrasion, because a flexible spool sees the fluid but is not meant to be the wear point.
CONSTRUCTION
Liner, Fibre Braid, Weather Cover
Inner Liner
A medium-resistant special rubber liner published for reliable sealing, in bores from 64 mm to 304 mm.
Reinforcement
Multi-layer high-strength fibre braid, published for flexibility and vibration absorption — this is the layer that does the actual work of the part.
Cover
An aging-resistant rubber cover, published as weather resistant, with shock buffering to reduce vibration transmission into the pipework.
APPLICATIONS
Where a Flexible Spool Goes
Pump Inlet and Outlet
The 152 mm code at 5 to 20 bar, on the suction and discharge of a plant room pump.
Fan Connections
The 203 mm code on a 1 to 3 m spool, between a fan casing and a duct transition.
Compressor Discharge
The 102 mm code, taking vibration out of the line before it reaches the header.
Generator Sets
The 127 mm code on a 1 to 3 m section, between the engine and the exhaust or cooling line.
Chiller and Boiler Connections
The 76 mm code, a short spool at a machine that moves on its mounts.
Small Equipment
The 64 mm code at 2-1/2 inch, the smallest bore in the table.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What a Plant Room Asks For
The questions are about length, flange match and how much movement the spool has to take.

Trend: Plant rooms are measured for structure-borne noise.
Dohose: Fibre braid spool, 1 to 3 m, 64 to 304 mm.
② Prefabricated Skids flexible spool
Trend: Equipment arrives on a skid and is coupled on site.
Dohose: Eight bores matched to standard flanges.
③ Thermal Movement expansion joint
Trend: Hot lines grow between cold and running.

FAQ
Vibration Isolation Hose — Ten Questions
Vibration isolation hose vs a rubber expansion joint — what changes?
An expansion joint is a short bellows built for movement alone; this is a 1 to 3 m hose with a fibre braid that carries 5 to 20 bar at the same time, in eight bores from 64 mm to 304 mm.
Can a standard hose replace it on a pump outlet?
Not at the same length. A standard hose is bought by the coil and cut long, which gives a sagging run rather than a flexible element; this spool is published at 1 to 3 m precisely so the movement is taken over a short, supported length.
What is the largest size?
304 mm, which is 12 inch, at 5 to 20 bar in a 1 to 3 m spool — the top of the eight-code range and the size a main plant room header uses.
What is the smallest size, and how long is it?
64 mm at 2-1/2 inch, supplied in the same 1 to 3 m band. It is the size used where a small pump or a fan connects to a rigid line.
Will it work on a pump inlet?
Yes — the published application is the inlet and outlet of water pumps, fans, compressors and generator sets. The 152 mm code at 6 inch is the common pump-room size, and on an inlet the spool also takes up misalignment between the machine and the pipe, which is half the reason it is fitted.
What about a compressor or a generator set?
The same duty at a different flange: the 102 mm code on a compressor discharge and the 127 mm code on a generator set, both inside the 5 to 20 bar band and the -20 °C to +100 °C window.
Why is the length limited to 1 to 3 metres?
Because the flexibility has to be local. A 1 to 3 m spool can move with the machine and still be supported at both ends; a longer length of the same bore would hang, kink and transmit the load it was bought to remove. The published length band is the working range, and a 304 mm spool at 12 inch is quoted inside it like every other bore.
Why does a flexible spool bulge or weep at the flange?
Usually because it is being pulled into alignment rather than being fitted to it, or because the line is running above the equipment rating inside the 5 to 20 bar band. A spool is not a pipe: it should take movement, not hold the two flanges together.
What is the minimum order?
One spool, in any of the eight bores from 64 mm to 304 mm, cut inside the 1 to 3 m band. Flange drilling and the exact length are quoted per piece, and a sample can be supplied for a trial fit.
How is a flexible spool priced?
Per piece by bore, length and flange drilling, not per metre: a 304 mm spool at 12 inch and a 64 mm spool at 2-1/2 inch are different articles. Send the flange standard, the length and the equipment it serves for a firm figure.
