PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Air and Water Delivery Hose — 20 bar on All 13 Bores to 102 mm
The YIBO air and water hose is an NR plus SBR body: a natural rubber and styrene butadiene tube, high-strength polyester cord with a spiral steel wire, and a matching NR plus SBR cover.
The range is 13 codes from 6 mm to 102 mm, 1/4 inch to 4 inch. Unlike a hydraulic range, every row is rated 20 bar (300 psi) with 60 bar (900 psi) minimum burst, a 3.0x margin, so bore size does not change the class.
Mass runs 0.18 to 4.14 kg/m and the bend radius 60 mm to 800 mm. Coils are 100 m up to the 1 inch code and 61 m from 1-1/4 inch upward, which is what a workshop air drop or a site water run actually needs.

SELECTION GUIDE
What to Specify Before You Order
Six answers get you a firm quote the same day. If any is unclear, send the media and duty and we will recommend a code.
① Media
Air or water?
- Shop air, water or both?
- Any oil carry-over in the air?
- Debris or grit in the line?
② Bore
6-102 mm
- Match to compressor or pump port.
- 1/4"-1" for tool drops.
- 2"-4" for mains and tanker work.
③ Pressure
20 bar working
- Rated working pressure is 20 bar.
- Minimum burst 60 bar — 3× margin.
- Water hammer needs headroom.
④ Temperature
State the duty
- Ambient and media temperature?
- Freezing conditions on site?
- Note min and max.
⑤ Duty
Delivery or suction?
- If suction, state the lift.
- Cord plus wire holds the bore open.
- Long runs need support points.
⑥ Ends
Crimped in-house
- BSP, JIC, ORFS or flange.
- Crimped and pressure-tested.
- Send the drawing if non-standard.
WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons One Class Covers the Whole Range
Air and water duty is set by flow and routing, so a constant pressure class across the range is the practical choice.
20 bar on Every Code
From 6 mm to 102 mm, every row is 20 bar working with 60 bar burst. There is no pressure table to read and no chance of ordering the wrong class at a large bore.
Thirteen Bores in One Range
1/4 inch for a tool drop, 1 inch for washdown, 4 inch for a site header, all off one line, so a mixed order ships together.
Coils to 100 m, Then 61 m
100 m coils run from the 6 mm code to 1 inch, and 61 m from 1-1/4 inch to 4 inch, so a long air drop is cut in one piece while a large bore still arrives as a coil one person can move.
Spiral Wire Inside
Polyester cord with a spiral steel wire means the bore stays open, which matters on a coolant or water return as much as on air.
Bend Radius From 60 mm
60 mm at the 6 mm code through to 800 mm at 4 inch, published per row for site routing.
NR and SBR Compound
Natural rubber blended with styrene butadiene gives a cover that takes abrasion on concrete and stays flexible outdoors.
CONSTRUCTION
Rubber, Cord, Helix, Cover
Inner Tube
NR plus SBR (natural rubber with styrene butadiene), bored from 6 mm to 102 mm, selected for air and water rather than for oil.
Reinforcement
High-strength polyester cord with a spiral steel wire, giving 20 bar working and 60 bar burst on every code from 6 mm to 102 mm.
Cover
NR plus SBR cover, outside diameter 14 mm at the 6 mm code through to 119 mm at 102 mm.
APPLICATIONS
Where Air and Water Hose Is Used
Compressed Air Drops
Bay-level air drops and tool supply at 1/2 inch, rated 20 bar with a 130 mm bend radius.
Site Air Headers
Temporary air runs on construction sites, where 3/4 inch at 0.55 kg/m is light enough to move by hand.
Washdown & Utility Water
Washdown lines in workshops and yards, usually 1 inch at 20 bar with a 250 mm bend radius.
Coolant & Water Return
Machine coolant supply and return where the spiral keeps the bore open.
Agricultural Sprayer Lines
Sprayer fill and stock water lines, sized 1 inch to 2 inch for the flow.
Large Bore Transfer
4 inch lines at 4.14 kg/m for a header or a temporary bypass, on a 61 m coil of about 252 kg.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Air and Water Buyers Ask For
This is a price-and-routing category, so the questions are about weight, coil length and how far the hose can be dragged.
① One Class, Many Sizes standard hose
Trend: Workshops want one pressure class across every air line in the building.
Dohose: All 13 codes are 20 bar working with 60 bar burst, so size is the only variable.
② Long Runs Without Joints air hose
Trend: A joint in an air line is a leak, and a joint in a water line is a wet floor.
Dohose: 100 m coils to the 1 inch code and 61 m above it, cut to the run.
③ Handling at Large Bore lightweight hose
Trend: A 4 inch hose gets moved by hand on site, so mass per metre decides whether the job is practical.
Dohose: Mass runs 0.18 kg/m at 6 mm to 4.14 kg/m at 102 mm, printed per row.
④ Outdoor Storage outdoor hose
Trend: Site hose spends its life in the sun and in the rain.
Dohose: The NR plus SBR cover is selected for outdoor service, and coils ship bagged.
⑤ Abrasion on Concrete abrasion resistant hose
Trend: Air and water lines are dragged rather than routed.
Dohose: The cover compound is matched to that duty rather than to a workshop floor.
⑥ Price Per Metre air water hose
Trend: Buyers compare landed cost, not list price.
Dohose: One plant for the whole range means one freight bill for a mixed order.

FAQ
Air and Water Hose — Ten Questions
Is an air hose the same as a water hose?
On this range it is one body: NR plus SBR tube and cover, polyester cord with spiral wire, 20 bar working on every code from 6 mm to 102 mm. The difference is the end fitting and the service, not the hose. Both are rated 60 bar burst.
Can this hose replace a 10 bar pneumatic line?
Yes, with margin. Every code here is rated 20 bar (300 psi) with 60 bar (900 psi) burst, so it covers a 10 bar line with a 2:1 working margin. Where the compressor runs at 12 to 15 bar, the same hose still qualifies.
What is the working pressure of 1/2 inch air hose?
The 13 mm code is rated 20 bar working (300 psi, and 290 psi in the table column) with 60 bar (870 psi) minimum burst. Minimum bend radius is 130 mm, mass is 0.36 kg/m, and the outside diameter is 22 mm.
What bore for 500 l/min of air at 6 bar?
About 1/2 inch. 500 l/min of free air at 6 bar is roughly 1.4 l/s of actual volume, and a 13 mm bore moves that at around 10 m/s, which keeps pressure drop reasonable over a 20 m run. At 3/4 inch the same flow drops to about 7 m/s and 0.55 kg/m.
Which size for washdown in a workshop?
1 inch, at 20 bar with a 250 mm bend radius and 0.78 kg/m. It is the size where flow is comfortable without the hose becoming unmanageable at the nozzle, and it still ships on a 100 m coil.
Can this hose be used on a coolant return?
Yes, and the spiral wire is why: it keeps the bore from collapsing where the return runs under slight negative pressure, on a body rated 20 bar working with 60 bar burst. Coolant is not oil, so an NR plus SBR body is appropriate; for hydraulic oil, use the hydraulic range instead.
Why does the cover crack after a season outdoors?
UV and ozone age the cover before the tube fails, and a coil left in the sun ages from the outside in. On a 1 inch line at 0.78 kg/m the cover is the first thing to go, not the tube. The NR plus SBR cover is selected for outdoor service, but hose stored under cover lasts measurably longer than hose stored on a fence.
Why does the hose balloon at the coupling?
Usually a clamp or ferrule that does not match the cover thickness. At 20 bar a hose clip can hold for a while and then creep; a crimped ferrule sized to the body does not. We supply both, but only the crimped version is proof-tested.
Which Chinese manufacturer supplies air and water hose in bulk?
YIBO, in Luohe, Henan, builds 13 codes from 6 mm to 102 mm bore on one line, all at 20 bar working. Coils and crimped or clamped assemblies ship from the same plant, loading through Qingdao or Shanghai.
What does air and water hose cost per metre at 4 inch?
Price follows the bore: 0.36 kg/m at 1/2 inch, 0.78 kg/m at 1 inch, 4.14 kg/m at 4 inch, so a 61 m coil of 4 inch is about 252 kg. Send bore, length, ends and destination and a firm figure comes back the same working day.
