PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
EPDM Food Hose — 10 bar, Smooth Bore, 19 mm to 152 mm
The YIBO food hose has an EPDM tube, a reinforcement of high-tensile polyester cord with spiral steel wire, and an EPDM cover. The tube is the part that matters: it is smooth, it drains, and it does not carry taste into the product.
The range is 9 codes from 19 mm to 152 mm bore, 3/4 inch to 6 inch. Every row is rated 10 bar (150 psi) working with 30 bar (450 psi) burst, a 3.0x margin. Mass runs 0.67 to 8.17 kg/m and coils are 61 m up to 4 inch.
The spiral wire means one hose handles the suction and the delivery side of a filling line, which is what a brewery or dairy actually needs between the tank and the filler.

WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons Dairies and Breweries Specify This Hose
On a food line the tube decides the product and the reinforcement decides the shift. These six points cover both.
EPDM Tube, Smooth and Drainable
The bore is EPDM, smooth along its length, so product drains instead of sitting in a seam. Changeover time and rinse water both come down with it.
Spiral Wire Holds the Bore
Polyester cord plus spiral steel wire means the same hose works on the suction side of a pump as well as the discharge, at 10 bar.
10 bar on Every Code
All nine codes from 19 mm to 152 mm are rated 10 bar working and 30 bar burst, so moving to a 4 inch line does not quietly lose pressure class.
Bend Radius to 750 mm
100 mm at the 3/4 inch code through to 750 mm at 6 inch, published per row so a filling line can be laid out against a real number.
EPDM Cover for Washdown
The cover is EPDM as well, chosen for repeated washdown rather than occasional contact, with the outside diameter running 30 mm to 171 mm across the range.
Coils Cut to the Run
61 m coils up to the 4 inch code and 30.5 m at 6 inch, cut to the length of the run instead of forcing a full coil onto a filling line.
CONSTRUCTION
Three Layers, No Seams in the Bore
Inner Tube
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), bored from 19 mm to 152 mm. EPDM is chosen because it holds up to repeated washing without the tube taking on odour.
Reinforcement
High-tensile polyester cord with a spiral steel wire, which is what allows one hose to be used on both sides of a pump at 10 bar.
Cover
EPDM cover, outside diameter 30 mm at the 3/4 inch code through to 171 mm at 6 inch.
APPLICATIONS
Where This Hose Is Used
Dairy Transfer
Milk, cream and whey runs between tank and filler, usually 2 inch at 1.93 kg/m with a 300 mm bend radius.
Brewery & Distillery Lines
Wort, beer and spirit transfer, where the smooth bore and the 61 m coil length suit a long cellar run.
Beverage & Juice
Juice, syrup and concentrate lines, sized 1-1/2 inch to 3 inch depending on the fill rate.
Filling Heads
Short whip lines at the filler, where a 1 inch bore at 0.84 kg/m keeps the operator handling light.
Bulk Tanker Unloading
Loading and unloading food tankers, with the spiral holding the bore open on the suction side.
CIP Return Lines
Cleaning circuit returns, where a bore that drains shortens the rinse cycle.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Food and Beverage Buyers Ask For Now
Documentation and cleanability come up before price on almost every food enquiry we receive.
① Documented Materials food contact hose
Trend: Buyers ask for material documentation for anything that touches product, not just a white tube.
Dohose: The tube and cover compounds are stated on the sheet, and the declaration position is confirmed before an order is accepted.
② Cleanability cleanable hose
Trend: Cleaning routines need a bore that drains and does not trap product.
Dohose: The EPDM bore is smooth along its length, and ends can be crimped or clamped to leave fewer residue points.
③ Taint in Sensitive Products odour free hose
Trend: Dairy and beverage duty is sensitive to taint from the tube compound.
Dohose: EPDM is selected for washdown duty, and the tube is the part we ask about first when a product is flavour-sensitive.
④ Washdown Duty washdown hose
Trend: Food plants wash lines down far more often than they replace them.
Dohose: Both tube and cover are EPDM, selected for repeated washdown rather than occasional contact.
⑤ Handling Weight lightweight hose
Trend: Manual handling on a filling line is a labour and safety item, not a detail.
Dohose: Mass per metre is published from 0.67 kg/m at 3/4 inch to 8.17 kg/m at 6 inch.
⑥ Traceability traceable hose
Trend: Audits ask which batch of hose contacted which production run.
Dohose: Batch marking and packing lists are recorded against the order.

FAQ
EPDM Food Hose — Ten Questions From Food Plant Buyers
EPDM food hose vs a clear PVC food hose?
PVC is transparent and cheap, and it goes rigid at low temperature and softens when washed hot. The EPDM body here is rated 10 bar working with 30 bar burst across nine codes from 19 mm to 152 mm, and it keeps a 100 mm bend radius at the 3/4 inch size, which is what a permanent line needs.
Is a food hose the same as a brewery hose?
The construction is the same, and on this range it is the same body: EPDM tube, polyester cord with spiral wire, EPDM cover. What changes between a dairy line and a brewery line is the bore and the length, which is why the range runs 19 mm to 152 mm with 61 m coils.
What is the working pressure of the 2 inch food hose?
The 51 mm code is rated 10 bar working (150 psi) with 30 bar (450 psi) minimum burst. Minimum bend radius is 300 mm, mass is 1.93 kg/m, and the coil is 61 m, so a 2 inch order arrives as a 118 kg coil.
What bore for 20,000 litres per hour of milk?
20 m3/h is 5.6 l/s. A 2 inch (51 mm) bore moves that at about 2.7 m/s, which stays inside the range where milk does not churn; a 1-1/2 inch bore would need 4.9 m/s and starts to damage the product. The 2 inch row is 1.93 kg/m with a 300 mm bend radius.
Will the hose stand up to CIP cleaning?
The body handles 10 bar working pressure, and the bore is smooth EPDM so it drains and rinses. CIP success depends as much on the ends as on the hose: crimped or clamped terminations leave fewer residue points than a pushed-in fitting with a hose clip. Tell us the cleaning routine along with the product.
Which size for beer transfer in a brewery cellar?
2 inch for the main run and 1 inch for whip lines at the filler. The 1 inch code is 0.84 kg/m with a 150 mm bend radius, and the 61 m coil length lets a long cellar run be cut in one piece rather than joined mid-floor.
Why does the product taste of rubber after a changeover?
Because residue stays in the bore, or because the tube was not flushed after the previous product. A smooth EPDM bore drains, but a 2 inch line at 1.93 kg/m that is not rinsed between products will carry taste regardless of the compound. Flush time is usually the cheapest fix on a filling line.
Why does the hose collapse on the suction side?
Because a delivery-only hose has no spiral. This body carries a spiral steel wire, which is why it can be used on the inlet side at 10 bar. Also check the bend: 750 mm at the 6 inch code is the minimum, and a line pulled tighter than that kinks before the pump manages to collapse it.
Do you supply food contact documentation, including FDA or EU 1935/2004 declarations?
Material compliance documentation is supplied with the order: compound data, batch records and material statements for the tube and cover. Where a project requires a specific FDA or EU 1935/2004 declaration, raise it at enquiry stage and the requirement is confirmed in writing as part of the specification, so it is settled before the coil is cut rather than at the audit. The range itself is 9 codes from 19 mm to 152 mm at 10 bar working.
What does the food hose cost per metre, and how is it packed?
Price follows bore, length and ends: 0.67 kg/m at 3/4 inch, 1.93 kg/m at 2 inch, 8.17 kg/m at 6 inch. Coils are 61 m up to 4 inch and 30.5 m at 6 inch, bagged and palletised. Send bore, length, ends and destination for a firm figure the same working day.
