PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Sandblasting Hose — Four Wear Classes, One Pressure
This is a 12 bar blasting hose with an NBR tube, a reinforcement of high-strength polyester cord plus spiral steel wire and a conductive copper wire, under an NBR + CR cover, published from 19 mm to 76 mm inside diameter in seven codes.
Every one of the seven is rated 12 bar working against 36 bar minimum burst, so pressure is not what separates them. What separates them is the column headed abrasion-resistant layer thickness: 4.0 mm on the 3/4 and 1 inch codes, 5.0 mm on 1-1/4 and 1-1/2, 5.5 mm on 2 and 2-1/2 and 6.0 mm on 3 inch.
That column is the life of the hose, and it is why the mass climbs with it: 0.66 kg/m at the 19 mm bore, 2.39 kg/m at 2 inch and 4.30 kg/m at 3 inch, where the outside diameter reaches 99 mm. The table publishes no bend radius, so a run is planned from that outside diameter rather than from an arc.

Application & Selection
Published in 7 sizes across 19–76 mm, rated 12 bar working against 36 bar burst, with a -40°C~80°C service window, using a NBR tube. SANDBLASTING HOSE covers 19–76 mm across 7 published codes.
This hose tops out at 12 bar working and 36 bar minimum burst over its 7 codes. Mass runs 0.66–4.3 kg/m across the 7 codes. Metric / BSP / JIC / ORFS ends are crimped and pressure-tested in-house across the 19–76 mm bore. Allow about 20 days from confirmation for this hose; OEM marking and packing on request.
WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons the Wear Layer Is the Specification
A blasting hose is consumed from the inside out. These six points are what the thickness column buys.
Four Wear Classes
The layer steps 4.0, 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 mm across seven codes, so the same 12 bar hose can be bought in four service lives for four duty levels.
Pressure Never Changes
Every code is 12 bar working with 36 bar burst, a 3:1 margin, from the 19 mm bore at 32 mm outside to the 76 mm bore at 99 mm.
Two 4.0 mm Codes
The 3/4 inch and 1 inch codes both carry the thinnest layer at 0.66 and 0.89 kg/m, which suits a short nozzle whip rather than a long run.
Thicker at the Top
The 3 inch code takes a 6.0 mm layer and 4.30 kg per metre, because a large bore at 12 bar moves more grit past the wall every hour.
No Bend Radius Published
The table gives outside diameter instead of an arc — 32, 38, 48, 54, 68, 83 and 99 mm — so a route is checked against the body, not a catalogue figure.
Copper Wire Inside
The reinforcement carries a conductive copper wire along the full length, which is what a blasting hose needs when the grit stream builds static in a booth.
CONSTRUCTION
NBR, Cord and Wire, NBR + CR
Inner Tube
NBR, the layer that takes the grit stream, published from 19 mm to 76 mm bore behind a 4.0 to 6.0 mm abrasion-resistant layer.
Reinforcement
High-strength polyester cord with spiral steel wire and a conductive copper wire, which holds 12 bar against 36 bar burst and carries static out of the line.
Cover
NBR blended with CR, abrasion-resistant, taking the outside diameter from 32 mm at the 3/4 inch code to 99 mm at 3 inch.
APPLICATIONS
Where Grit Runs at 12 bar
Blast Cabinet Feed
The 19 mm code at 0.66 kg/m with a 4.0 mm layer, feeding a nozzle inside a cabinet.
Site Blasting
The 32 mm code at 1.29 kg/m and a 5.0 mm layer, the size a hand-held pot runs through.
Shipyard Panels
The 51 mm code at 2.39 kg/m with a 5.5 mm layer, on a long run to a remote nozzle.
Pipeline Coating
The 64 mm code at 2.98 kg/m, where a 5.5 mm layer takes the wear of a continuous stream.
Foundry Cleaning
The 38 mm code at 1.57 kg/m, a 5.0 mm layer on a fixed installation.
Bulk Transfer
The 76 mm code at 4.30 kg/m with a 6.0 mm layer, moving grit between hoppers at 12 bar.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What a Blasting Contractor Asks
The questions are about how long a hose lasts and what it weighs on the run, not about pressure.
① Cost per Hour of Blasting abrasion resistant hose
Trend: Hoses are costed by service life.
Dohose: Four layer thicknesses, 4.0 to 6.0 mm.
② Longer Runs sandblasting hose
Trend: Remote nozzles put the pot further away.
Dohose: 61 m coils on all seven codes.
③ Weight on the Nozzle lightweight hose
Trend: Operators carry the last few metres.
Dohose: 0.66 kg/m at 19 mm, 0.89 at 1 inch.
④ Static in the Booth anti static hose
Trend: Booths are checked for dissipation.
Dohose: Conductive copper wire in the reinforcement.
⑤ Grit Recovery Lines large bore hose
Trend: Recovery runs need a big bore at low pressure.
Dohose: 76 mm bore at 12 bar with a 6.0 mm layer.
⑥ Planning the Route flexible hose
Trend: Runs are laid out on site.
Dohose: Outside diameter 32 to 99 mm published per code.

FAQ
Sandblasting Hose — Ten Questions
Sandblasting hose vs a general air hose — what is different?
The wear layer and the wire. A general air hose has a plain tube, while this one publishes a 4.0 to 6.0 mm abrasion-resistant layer behind the bore and carries spiral steel wire plus a copper static wire at 12 bar.
Can a 5.0 mm layer replace a 6.0 mm one on the same bore?
Only where the duty is lighter. On the 3 inch code the layer is 6.0 mm at 4.30 kg/m; the 5.0 mm layer is published on the 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 inch codes at 1.29 and 1.57 kg/m, so the two are different articles and not a straight swap.
What is the rating on the 2 inch code?
12 bar working with 36 bar minimum burst, on a 51 mm bore, a 68 mm outside diameter, a 5.5 mm abrasion-resistant layer and 2.39 kg per metre.
What does the 3 inch code weigh, and what arc does it need?
4.30 kg per metre on a 76 mm bore and a 99 mm outside diameter, with the thickest layer at 6.0 mm. The table publishes no bend radius, so the run is planned on the 99 mm body.
Will it handle steel grit and garnet?
Those are the media it is built for: an NBR tube behind a 4.0 to 6.0 mm wear layer at 12 bar. The layer, not the pressure, sets how long it lasts, which is why the 3 inch code at 4.30 kg/m carries the thickest one.
What bore for a 6 mm nozzle?
The 19 mm bore at 0.66 kg/m leaves ample annulus behind a 6 mm nozzle, but most site pots run the 32 mm code at 1.29 kg/m so the pressure drop over a long run stays small. Both are 12 bar with a 4.0 and 5.0 mm layer respectively.
Why is the burst only 36 bar on a 12 bar hose?
Because 36 bar is three times 12 bar, and that 3:1 margin is what the table publishes on all seven codes. A compressor with a 12 bar receiver cannot exceed the working rating, and the burst figure is the margin behind it.
Why does the cover fail on the outside of a bend?
Because a blasting hose has no published bend radius to design to, so a tight route stretches the cover while the tube inside is still wearing. Reroute against the outside diameter — 68 mm at 2 inch, 99 mm at 3 inch — and the layer thickness lasts as published.
What is the minimum order?
One coil, or cut lengths from a metre. All seven codes ship on a 61 m coil, and cut lengths are marked with the code and the layer thickness so a replacement matches the one it replaces.
How is the hose priced?
Per metre by bore and by layer: the 19 mm code at 0.66 kg/m with a 4.0 mm layer and the 76 mm code at 4.30 kg/m with 6.0 mm are at opposite ends of the sheet. Send bore, duty, length and destination for a firm figure.
