Hose Assembly
A hydraulic hose assembly is a finished line component custom-built to the equipment condition: the hose body plus both ends already fitted with couplings, shipped ready to install with no secondary crimping on site. Its role is not a "shelf generic part" but a "part made to your equipment's dimensions and working condition". Typical use includes line replacement during equipment retrofit and model change, hydraulic line matching for non-standard equipment, and substitutes when the original assembly is discontinued or unprocurable. In these scenarios the assembly's core value is dimensional and interface certainty — measure it right and it installs; no on-site machining.
Construction
- Inner Tube: Oil-resistant synthetic rubber.
- Reinforcement: Four-layer spiral steel wire reinforcement.
- Outer Cover: Abrasion and weather-resistant synthetic rubber.
Working Temperature: -40°C to +100°C (-40°F to +212°F).
Four-Layer Spiral Reinforcement
The reinforcement is four-layer spiral steel wire — the structural focus of this build. Four layers mean a thicker pressure reserve and better shape-holding: where routing is complex, bend radius is limited, or pressure fluctuation is obvious, the hose is far less likely to deform and bulge long term. Four layers target "many constraints, heavier duty" conditions.
The outer cover is abrasion and weather-resistant synthetic rubber. Custom assemblies often replace lines that are external or semi-external to the equipment, so the outer layer must handle friction, dust and sun exposure, preventing the cover from degrading before the structure does.
How to Select
- Confirm size and interface first. This is the most basic and most error-prone step. Confirm: hose specification, overall assembly length, both-end coupling type and thread form, and the minimum allowable space at bends. Confirming only one or two items and finding it will not fit on arrival is common.
- State working conditions, not just specifications. The same line demands very different things in different conditions. State media type and temperature, system pressure and pulse, routing and bend count, and usage frequency — these decide the structure, not a copy.
- Set structure by constraints. Straight routing, small pressure fluctuation and ample bend space can be met by a standard two layers; complex routing, limited bend radius, obvious pressure fluctuation or heavy duty call for more layers. The assembly's value is exactly this — configure to actual constraints, not copy the old part.
Frequently Asked Questions
What information does a custom assembly need?
Core is size and interface: hose spec, total length, both-end coupling type and thread form. Also provide media type and temperature, system pressure and pulse, routing and bend points, frequency and mounting position, and inspection requirements. More complete information means more accurate selection.
What is the practical benefit of four layers?
More layers give a stronger pressure reserve and better shape-holding, lasting longer where bend radius is limited or pressure fluctuates. That is where the life difference shows on constraint-heavy, heavier-duty lines.
Typical lead time?
It depends on structure complexity and order volume; the more complex and numerous, the longer. State the delivery window when quoting so the maintenance window can be planned.
Can I order directly from the old part's dimensions?
Use them as a start, but do not copy blindly. The old part may have seen over-pressure or fatigue invisible outside; providing working-condition information as well is safer.
Why Yibo
Yibo Technology focuses on hydraulic, high-pressure and industrial hose manufacturing with complete in-house production from raw material to finished product. For custom assemblies, where size and condition must be matched, we give advice based on interface, media, pressure and mounting constraints rather than copying the physical part. Tell us the interface and condition, and we match the right structure. Small trial orders and volume customization are both supported.
