PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Radiator Hose — 5 bar, Eight Bores, One 61 m Coil
This is an EPDM coolant hose for engine and marine cooling systems, published from 19 mm to 102 mm inside diameter in eight codes, every one of them rated 5 bar working against 15 bar minimum burst.
The tube is EPDM, the reinforcement a high-strength polyester cord, and the cover EPDM again — a build chosen for hot water and glycol rather than for pressure. Mass runs 0.49 kg/m at the 3/4 inch code to 2.52 kg/m at 4 inch, and all eight codes ship on a 61 m coil.
The number that decides a fit is the outside diameter, and the table is unusually consistent about it: 29, 35, 42, 48, 61, 74, 87 and 113 mm, which is 10 to 11 mm above the bore on every code. A 5 bar hose with a constant wall is a hose whose specification is the space it has to pass through.
That is also why the range stops at eight codes. A coolant hose is cut and clamped on site, so the useful question is which of the eight outside diameters fits between the radiator outlet and the nearest bracket, and whether a metre of it can be cut from the coil already in the workshop.

WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons 5 bar Is the Right Rating
A cooling system is not a pressure line. These six points are why a 5 bar hose is the correct part rather than an under-specified one.
5 bar Beats the Cap
A cooling system releases at its pressure cap, well under 5 bar, so a hose rated 5 bar working with 15 bar burst sits above anything the circuit can generate.
3:1 on All Eight
Burst is exactly three times working pressure on every code, from 15 over 5 bar at 19 mm bore to the same 15 over 5 at 102 mm.
Constant Wall
Outside diameter is 10 to 11 mm above the bore on all eight codes: 29 mm at 19 mm bore, 74 mm at 64 mm bore and 113 mm at 102 mm, so the wall does not thicken as the bore grows.
One Coil Length
Every code ships on a 61 m coil, so a workshop stocks one length rather than a mix of spools and can cut a 3/4 inch and a 4 inch run from the same order.
Mass Follows the Bore
0.49 kg/m at 19 mm and 2.52 kg/m at 102 mm: even the largest coolant hose is light enough to be supported by the engine mounting rather than a bracket.
EPDM Both Sides
The tube and the cover are the same compound, which is what keeps a coolant hose from cracking at the cover first when it is run near a hot manifold.
CONSTRUCTION
EPDM, Cord, EPDM
Inner Tube
EPDM, chosen for hot water and glycol rather than for oil, in bores from 19 mm to 102 mm. It is the layer that meets the coolant, so it is the one that decides whether a hose survives a long-life fill.
Reinforcement
One high-strength polyester cord layer, which is what holds the 5 bar rating and the 15 bar burst without adding enough wall to change the fit in an engine bay.
Cover
EPDM again, taking the outside diameter from 29 mm at the 3/4 inch code to 113 mm at 4 inch. Same compound inside and out, so the cover does not crack first against a hot manifold.
APPLICATIONS
Where a Coolant Hose Runs
Engine Cooling
The 38 mm code at 5 bar, the usual radiator top-hose size on a mid-size engine.
Marine Raw Water
The 51 mm code at 1.15 kg/m on a 5 bar circuit, carrying seawater to a heat exchanger.
Bus and Truck Radiators
The 64 mm code on a 61 m coil, cut per vehicle rather than bought as a moulded hose.
Charge Air Coolers
The 76 mm code at 1.93 kg/m, where a 5 bar rating covers the low-pressure side.
Stationary Engines
The 25 mm code at 0.62 kg/m for a generator set coolant run.
Heater Circuits
The 19 mm code at 0.49 kg/m and 29 mm outside diameter, the smallest in the range.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Buyers Ask on a Coolant Hose
The questions are about fit and coil length rather than pressure, which is what a 5 bar hose invites.
① Cut Instead of Moulded coolant hose
Trend: Workshops cut a length rather than stock a moulded part.
Dohose: Eight bores, all on a 61 m coil.
② Glycol Service glycol hose
Trend: Long-life coolant is the default fill.
Dohose: EPDM tube and EPDM cover, 5 bar at 19 to 102 mm.
③ Engine Bay Space radiator hose
Trend: Outside diameter is measured before ordering.
Dohose: 10 to 11 mm of wall, from 29 mm to 113 mm outside.
④ Marine Refits marine hose
Trend: Raw-water runs are replaced on a slipping schedule.
Dohose: The 51 mm code at 1.15 kg/m, 5 bar, 61 m coil.
⑤ Weight on the Engine lightweight hose
Trend: Hose mass is counted against the mounting.
Dohose: 0.49 kg/m at 19 mm, 2.52 kg/m at 102 mm.
⑥ Sample Before Order sample hose
Trend: A metre is tried on the engine first.
Dohose: Cut samples from any of the eight codes, marked per length.
WHY DOHOSE
Seven Reasons Buyers Stay with Us
Numbers, Not Averages
Every figure for the Radiator Hose comes from the per-code table: 19–102 mm, 5 bar working, 15 bar burst.
One Line, Full Range
All 8 codes of the Radiator Hose come off the same line, so a mixed order in 19–102 mm ships together.
Length on Demand
Cut-to-length supply for Radiator Hose; each code carries its own mass, 0.49–2.52 kg/m across the published codes; every figure is per code, not an average, so lifting gear can be sized first.
Ends Done Here
Assemblies of Radiator Hose are crimped on site and held at test pressure before they are boxed.
Export Packing
Coiled in poly bags, then woven bags on pallets — loading plans are drawn for 8-code orders.
OEM Ready
Brand printing and custom packing are standard options on the Radiator Hose.
Fast, Firm Pricing
A firm price for Radiator Hose usually returns within 1 hour of your enquiry.
FAQ
Radiator Hose — Ten Questions
Radiator hose vs a general water hose — what changes?
The compound and the burst margin. This one is EPDM tube and EPDM cover with a polyester cord, rated 5 bar working and 15 bar burst, and it is published from 19 mm to 102 mm bore rather than in a few garden sizes.
Can it replace a silicone coolant hose?
Where the circuit runs at 5 bar and the bore matches, yes; the outside diameter is the check, since this range is 10 to 11 mm above the bore. A silicone hose earns its price at higher temperatures, and this EPDM build is the lower-cost route for a standard cooling system.
What is the rating on the 2 inch code?
5 bar working with 15 bar minimum burst on a 51 mm bore, an outside diameter of 61 mm, a mass of 1.15 kg per metre and a 61 m coil.
What is the largest bore?
102 mm inside diameter with a 113 mm outside diameter and a mass of 2.52 kg per metre, still rated 5 bar with 15 bar burst and still supplied on a 61 m coil.
Will it carry coolant and glycol?
That is what the EPDM tube is for: hot water and glycol mix at 5 bar, from the 19 mm code at 0.49 kg/m upward. It is not an oil hose, and a fuel or oil line needs a different tube compound.
Can it be used for marine raw water?
Yes — the published application is cooling systems in automobiles and marine vessels. On a seawater run the 51 mm code at 1.15 kg/m and 5 bar is the usual size, and the EPDM cover resists the salt film.
Why rate a cooling hose at only 5 bar?
Because a cooling system is bounded by its pressure cap, and 5 bar working with 15 bar burst is a 3:1 margin above anything the circuit produces. A higher rating would add wall, and wall is what stops the hose fitting in the engine bay.
Why does a radiator hose bulge or split near the clamp?
Two causes. A cap that no longer releases pushes the hose past 5 bar until the cord takes the load and the tube separates; or a clamp tightened onto a 61 mm outside diameter that is actually a 64 mm code pinches the cord. Check the cap, then check the outside diameter against the table.
What is the minimum order?
One coil of any of the eight codes, or cut lengths from a metre upward. Because every code ships on a 61 m coil, a mixed order of several bores is packed together and marked per length.
How is the hose priced?
Per metre by bore: the 19 mm code at 0.49 kg/m at one end and the 102 mm code at 2.52 kg/m at the other. Send bore, length and destination for a firm figure, with cut lengths marked and bagged.
