PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Steam and Hot Water Hose — 10 bar Working, 40 bar Burst, 6 mm to 102 mm
The YIBO steam and hot water hose is an EPDM body: EPDM tube, high-tensile polyester cord reinforcement, EPDM cover. It is built for saturated steam and hot water service where the tube has to survive heat and repeated wetting rather than pressure alone.
The range is 13 codes from 6 mm to 102 mm bore. Every row is rated 10 bar (150 psi) working against 40 bar (600 psi) minimum burst, a 4.0x margin, which is a wider margin than the water hoses on this site carry.
Minimum bend radius runs from 60 mm at the 1/4 inch code to 800 mm at 4 inch, with mass from 0.17 to 4.06 kg/m. Coils are 100 m up to the 1 inch code and 61 m above it, so a long CIP run can be cut in one piece.

SELECTION GUIDE
What to Specify Before You Order
Six answers get you a firm quote the same day. If any is unclear, send the media and duty and we will recommend a code.
① Media
Steam or hot water?
- Saturated steam, superheated or water?
- Condensate return as well?
- Chemical dosing in the line? Say so.
② Bore
6-102 mm
- Match to boiler outlet and flow.
- 1/4"-1" for trace and press duty.
- 2"-4" for heat exchanger feeds.
③ Pressure
10 bar working
- Rated working pressure is 10 bar.
- Minimum burst 40 bar — 4× margin.
- Steam hammer raises surge; state it.
④ Temperature
The whole point
- Peak media temperature?
- Continuous or intermittent?
- Ambient on outdoor runs too.
⑤ Insulation
Say if you need it
- Bare hose or with lagging?
- Concentrated lines need a jacket.
- Note it in the inquiry.
⑥ Ends
Crimped in-house
- BSP, JIC, ORFS or flange.
- Crimped and pressure-tested.
- Send the drawing if non-standard.
WHY THIS HOSE
Six Reasons This Body Suits Steam and Hot Water
Heat fails a hose through the tube first and the coupling second. These six points cover both ends of that.
EPDM Tube and Cover
Both the tube and the cover are EPDM, chosen because it takes repeated hot wetting without hardening the way a general-purpose rubber does.
4.0x Burst Margin
10 bar working against 40 bar minimum burst on every one of the 13 codes, a wider margin than the 3.0x used on the water ranges on this site.
Thirteen Bores From 6 mm
6 mm to 102 mm covers a washdown lance, a vulcanising press line and a 4 inch CIP header from one range, all at the same 10 bar.
Bend Radius From 60 mm
60 mm at the 1/4 inch code through to 800 mm at 4 inch, published per row, because a hot line kinks where a cold one would simply bend.
Light at Small Bores
0.17 kg/m at the 1/4 inch code and 0.24 kg/m at 3/8 inch, which is what lets a lance or an ironer line be handled all shift.
Long Coils to 1 inch
100 m coils up to the 25 mm code and 61 m above it, so a washdown or CIP run does not need a joint mid-line, which is where steam lines usually fail.
CONSTRUCTION
Three Layers, No Steel in the Wall
Inner Tube
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) synthetic rubber, bored from 6 mm to 102 mm. EPDM is selected for hot water and saturated steam service.
Reinforcement
High-strength polyester cord, with no steel wire in the wall: a steam line is a pressure line, not a suction line, so the cord carries the 10 bar and the 40 bar burst.
Cover
EPDM cover, outside diameter 14 mm at the 1/4 inch code through to 119 mm at 4 inch.
APPLICATIONS
Where Steam and Hot Water Hose Is Used
Steam Cleaning
Saturated steam cleaning and sanitising, usually 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch on a lance or a small header.
Hot Water Washdown
Washdown lines in plants where the water runs hot rather than cold, at 3/4 inch to 1-1/2 inch.
Process Heating
Jacketed vessels and heat exchanger connections, where 1 inch at 0.70 kg/m keeps the run manageable.
Rubber & Plastics
Vulcanising and mould heating lines, often 1/2 inch at a 130 mm bend radius.
Brewing CIP and SIP
Cleaning and sterilising circuits, where a 100 m coil avoids a mid-line joint on a long run.
Plant Maintenance
Temporary steam and hot water runs during shutdowns, cut to length rather than ordered as a fixed coil.
HIGH-END INDUSTRY DIRECTIONS
What Steam Line Buyers Ask For Now
Pressure and temperature are being specified separately now, which is the main change in how these enquiries arrive.
① Pressure and Temperature Split high temperature hose
Trend: Buyers now quote steam pressure and steam temperature as two separate figures, because one does not imply the other.
Dohose: The 10 bar rating is stated, and the temperature is confirmed against the duty before the compound is fixed.
② Coupling Safety steam hose assembly
Trend: Steam lines fail at the coupling more often than in the bore, so assemblies are bought finished rather than cut on site.
Dohose: Assemblies are crimped and tested in-house with a ferrule matched to the cover.
③ Washdown Duty washdown hose
Trend: Plants wash down with hot water far more often than they replace hose.
Dohose: Tube and cover are both EPDM, selected for repeated hot wetting.
④ Fewer Joints on Long Runs steam hose
Trend: Maintenance teams want one length from the header to the use point, with no joint in between.
Dohose: 100 m coils up to the 25 mm code and 61 m above it, cut to the run.
⑤ Energy Loss low loss steam hose
Trend: Steam quality and condensate handling show up as running cost, not just as a maintenance item.
Dohose: Lengths are cut to the actual run instead of forcing a full coil onto a short drop.
⑥ Traceability traceable hose
Trend: Pressure-line maintenance records increasingly require batch data.
Dohose: Batch and test date are marked on the hose and recorded against the order.

FAQ
Steam and Hot Water Hose — Ten Questions From Plant Buyers
Steam hose vs hot water hose — is it the same body?
On this range it is the same construction: EPDM tube, polyester cord, EPDM cover, 10 bar working with 40 bar burst across all 13 codes. What changes between a hot water washdown line and a steam line is the temperature at the use point, which is why we ask for it before quoting rather than assuming from the pressure.
Can I use a hydraulic hose for steam instead of a steam hose?
No. A hydraulic body is built around steel wire and an oil-resistant tube, and its rating is quoted at a working pressure that says nothing about hot wet steam. This hose carries 10 bar against a 40 bar burst, and the tube is EPDM for a reason, so the two are not interchangeable even when the fittings match.
What is the working pressure of the 3/4 inch steam hose?
The 19 mm code is rated 10 bar working (150 psi) with 40 bar (580 psi) minimum burst. Minimum bend radius is 190 mm, mass is 0.52 kg/m, and the coil is 100 m, so a 3/4 inch order arrives as a 52 kg coil.
What bore for a 5 m3/h CIP supply?
5 m3/h is 1.4 l/s. A 1 inch (25 mm) bore moves that at about 2.8 m/s, while a 3/4 inch bore needs 4.9 m/s and starts to cost pressure. The 1 inch row is 0.70 kg/m with a 250 mm bend radius, and it is the last size that ships on a 100 m coil.
Which size for a vulcanising press or an ironer?
1/2 inch is the usual size: 13 mm bore, 10 bar working, 0.34 kg/m and a 130 mm bend radius, which is short enough to drop into a press frame without a loop. Above that bore the mass climbs fast, 0.52 kg/m at 3/4 inch and 0.70 kg/m at 1 inch.
Saturated steam at 10 bar — what temperature is that?
Saturated steam at 10 bar sits near 180 ℃, which is why pressure and temperature have to be quoted together on a steam line. The 10 bar rating describes the pressure the body holds, not the temperature it will see at the use point. Send both figures and the compound is confirmed against the duty.
Why does a steam hose fail at the coupling?
Heat and condensate hammer, together, on a body rated 10 bar working with 40 bar burst. The coupling end is where the tube is coolest and the condensate collects, so the ferrule sees a temperature swing on every cycle while the crimp holds the cover. A ferrule matched to the cover thickness, crimped and tested as an assembly, is what stops it; a hose clip on a steam line does not.
Why does the cover go hard and crack on a steam line?
Heat ageing reaches the cover from outside as well as through the wall, and a cover cycled hot and dry between shifts hardens first. The cover here is EPDM, which is chosen for exactly that duty, but a 4 inch line at 4.06 kg/m left lying against a hot manifold is being aged from both sides at once.
Which Chinese manufacturer supplies steam and hot water hose in bulk?
YIBO, in Luohe, Henan, builds 13 codes from 6 mm to 102 mm bore on one line, all rated 10 bar working with 40 bar burst. Coils and crimped assemblies ship from the same plant, loading through Qingdao or Shanghai.
What does the steam hose cost per metre, and how is it coiled?
Price follows bore and ends: 0.24 kg/m at 3/8 inch, 0.70 kg/m at 1 inch, 4.06 kg/m at 4 inch. Coils are 100 m up to the 25 mm code and 61 m above it, bagged and palletised. Send bore, length, ends and destination for a firm figure the same working day.
